It works great. Kids don't complain about poor signal when in their rooms using the laptop anymore.

There are ways to improve the performance of the extender, such as updating the firmware. Relocating might also help as there’s a high chance that the device is not getting an optimum connection directly from the router. It's good enough

This works great and is easy to set up. The only issue I have encountered is that from time to time I needed to reboot it, after I do that the internet speed seems to go back to normal.

The range extender should have a stable connection once it is installed. To isolate this, check if the firmware is updated and observe if your wireless router is also behaving this way.
