Good Unit with great Coverage But ....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This unit worked great for a couple weeks I used it to connect to my wireless network then rebroadcast a signal to my backyard however after a couple weeks I noticed that my main router stopped broadcasting the 5 Ghz band due to interference from this extender so I have to do a HARD reset of my main router and rebuild all the settings from scratch to get my main unit to start working again. I will try with a ethernet cable to use this unit as a rebroadcaster and not an extender and to not connect to my main router wirelessly. I will post updates once i purchase the ethernet cable and test it out this way. Only use this if you know what you are doing and don't mind the advanced troubleshooting when something goes wrong.

We're puzzled to hear that your wireless extender had caused interference on the 5 GHz frequency of your main Wi-Fi router. We would like to look into the root cause of this challenge for further isolation so this won't happen again. Have you tried adjusting the channels for both frequency bands on your router? What about relocating the extender to another spot for an optimal coverage? By the way, to achieve maximum performance, it is recommended that your range extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. The router is in my office, southside of house. My wife frequently uses her ipad in our bedroom, northside of house, approx. 45-ft from the router. And I use my laptop in our family room or my office. The primary problem is wifi use in our bedroom. I purchased the Linksys - AC750 Boost Wireless Range Extender - White. We experimented with locations and found that placing it in our family room, more to the middle of the house and all is well. It does what we bought it for...

I still don’t know to get my devices to automatically switch from the main wifi to the extended wifi though. Also, it often starts flashing orange for no apparent reason. It might have to do with an Internet service issued in my home, but I don’t know. Everything might be user error, because I’m not tech savvy.

To isolate, you can try connecting directly to your router and observe if the connection is stable or not.
