A friend mentioned this type of product should do the trick. Went to BestBuy and an associate advised one of 2 products that may work. This one was on sale, so I purchased this product. Amazing, it solved the problem wonderfully. I wish I would have known about this sooner. The price was a little higher than I expected but it is well worth it. My daughter can do her homework in her own room now!!

Tried to get resolution but it seems to sporadically drop for about 5 seconds or so, just enough to kill a Zoom call. Not a great experience for higher speed connections

If the connection directly from the gateway is confirmed stable, we may need to check the placement of the extender. Make sure that it gets an optimum connection and there’s no potential source of wireless interference and obstructions around. Microsoft surface laptop is always asking for a separate key. Says Microsoft support found a problem..it did eliminate the weak signal while teleconferencing. I will give it 3 stars...furthermore I rarely see a green light. It’s usually amber.however it does help with signal

One of the things you give up with these lower end extenders is that your SSID is appended (in this case) a '_ext' to the network name, which means you must join this network explicitly to get to the connected WiFi. An inconvenience, but something you give up in this price range.

Before having this range extender, the wifi upstairs constantly fluctuated, causing my son's PlayStation to lose service. This immediately fixed that issue and provided consistent service without any variations in service.
