It is possible that the extender is not getting optimum connection from the router. Is the wireless connection good? If not, we can try relocating the extender to make sure that it gets a good connection from the internet source. To further isolate, we also need to make sure that the Ethernet cable is in good condition.

Little extender big power

For the price it works well "inside" the house. We were attempting to get signal "outside" of the house but this little guy was not as strong. We are reviewing options for an outdoor external access point.

He was able to connect the ethernet cable directly to the extender and it's been very stable for over a month.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. The distance from my modem to this booster was approx 8 feet. Boost the signal up to 1000feet is a joke when it can not even keep a steady connection to the modem. Tried to return it, but was told that it was past the return period, Hmm guess Best Buys would rather have bad reviews than take accountability for the products it sells.

It picks up the base signal perfectly and amplifies it to my needs. All in all, I’m very satisfied. We will see how it does in the common cold weather.

Great range at a great price

I can have the best of both worlds. It was also easy to set up with little to no fuss.

Customer service rep stayed on phone with me while I ran up and down stairs to locate a viable outlet. She also walked me through configuration of router. All works perfectly! So nice to be able to stream through whole house with no glitches.

Instructions were a little confusing and Linksys customer service wasn’t very competent, but I finally figured out how to set it up. It’s a little bulky, but overall I’m happy with it.

Works ok difficult to set up

Also difficult to set up for duel bands but again once done it worked well. However, have to reset on. Regular basis to it connected.

* Use a wireless-AC router/access point to fully utilize their capability.
* Place the range extender in an area where you are getting strong wireless signal from the router.
* It is recommended to use WPA2/WPA Mixed Mode wireless security on your router and range extender.
