Rebooting the router along with the range extender also helps to refresh the network for a more stable signal and also make sure that the device is running on the latest firmware version. The Linksys RE6300 Range Extender can extend your WiFi range up to 6500 sq. ft. We can try to relocate the extender and update the firmware to see if that will improve the range of the extender.

The instructions did not offer sufficient guidance to help identify and resolve installation issues. Thus, the instructions were not very helpful. The online guidance by both Best Buy and Linksys was a little more helpful. I did get the extender to work, but only for brief moments. Moreover, contacting Linksys technical support was difficult and, ultimately, the tech support representative was unsuccessful in helping to resolve my issue. After a while, he seemed to simply give up. I'm disappointed in this product. Since I purchased two extenders, I was compelled (and able) to return one (for store credit) and was left stuck with the other.
