Easy Setup - Range extension was slight.

However, it only extended the range of our network slightly. Even with this extension, we still don't have full coverage for our 3400 sqft. house.

The RE7000 is capable of extending your main network's signal up to 10,000 square feet in a perfect network environment. We can utilize the Spot Finder feature of the unit to ensure that it's in its right spot for optimal placement.

I used the Linksys app to set it up, and it worked. I did not need to call Linksys or Best Buy. However, now it's late Jan. and I needed to reset the router and extender. When I reached the call center, the Linksys tech said, "Why do you have that range extender when your router is mesh? We do not recommend using this kind of non-mesh extender with any Linksys mesh routers. It turns out that I was poorly advised by the Best Buy worker, who recommended and sold me both the mesh router and the non–mesh extender! I wasted my money because of a mistake made by the BB worker who was evidently not aware of the difference. Of course, I wasn't aware either. But that mistake should not be my out-of-pocket waste of a hundred bucks. I want to exchange the non-mesh for a mesh extender. I learned all this a little over 2 months after BB misguided me. The Linksys told me I would need a Linksys mesh extender that includes the word VELOP. Somebody at BB needs to train the workers to understand this. Maybe this review will help someone make the same mistake. And don't assume the BB sales people understand what they are selling. It required wasted time and money to learn this from Linksys after setting up a ticket.

Great Extender with wired plug
