Your 'dead spot' problem is a thing of the past! Just plug in the LINKSYS AC1900, press one button to set up the device and your on your way. There are no complicated wiring set-ups to contend with and the LINKSYS AC1900 has removed all installation guesswork. One of the many great features that this device has is called "Spot Finder Technology". "Spot Finder Technology" allows you to visually see where the optimal placement of the LINKSYS AC1900 should be. This is an awesome feature as it takes the guesswork out of the device placement. This is a "must have it" feature. WI-FI range is huge, and I had absolutely no problems with dead spots within my home and or my backyard. I even went so far as to go to one of my neighbors homes located two houses down the street with no loss of signal. Amazing! The LINKSYS AC1900 is the one to depend upon. Hands down the LINKSYS AC1900 is an industry leader.

great for a room WiFi extender! I recently added a man cave and needed the WiFi reach!

It does what it do... Not much of computer tech but I think I got it going.

Setup was very easy. Remove from box and plug into an outlet near your router. Press the WPS button on your router and then press the WPS button on the range extender. Wait until the light is solid green. Repeat for 5 GHz network. Unplug and move to the mid-point location in your house where you need the boost and plug in. That’s it – about 5 minutes total time. MU-MIMO (Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output) is a Wi-Fi technology designed for multiple users using multiple devices without lagging or buffering. This device utilizes that technology to extend the range without degradation from multiple devices in use at the same time. The Spot Finder technology helps you find the best place to position the device. You don’t plug this device in the dead zone but rather at a mid-point between your router and the area where it is needed most. The hand-off between the router and the extender is seamless if you are in the Linksys Max-Stream family of products. The range extender will work with other routers but I tested with a Max-Stream EA9500 router. Excellent seamless hand-off and performance. My testing included Netflix on all of the TV’s in our house and with a Samsung Galaxy Note II, iPad 2 and an Acer Iconia One tablet. First, Netflix ran great on all TVs with no buffering issues or the loss of speed that used to be present in the basement area. Now they all operate the same – GREAT JOB. But the best part was testing the other devices in various locations around the house, yard and down the street. With all devices I could go about ½ block and still have a strong connection. So then I worried about network security and asked a couple of neighbors to test – they couldn’t get in. But when I gave them the password to my guest network, and they connected their laptops, the connection was strong. One neighbor has a 60 Mbps connection and we have 100 Mbps and she clocked in at 102.85 from her house. Yes – I recommend this product for anyone as it is simple to install and provides great results.

It boost my Mbps from 28 29 to50 from basement to first floor .And use my tablet out to garage200feet away Works great.

Working beautifully extends my wi fi to upstairs which was a dead spot before.

I guess I expect more band extended went from 1 bar to 2 bar and split the signal. It did however extend the signal as it is designed to do
