|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At first I was a bit skeptical about how well a wireless range extender would work and whether it truly extended the network or just created a somewhat similar clone of the original. After the (incredibly) simple setup with this Linksys RE7000, I found that these range extenders work wonders. I had some difficulty setting the extender up via WPS, but I believe it was the fault of the old Verizon DSL router that I was pairing it to (which did not appear to have a working WPS setup-- after pressing the button on the router, nothing happened). I proceeded to use the browser-based setup and actually was able to complete it with ease from my mobile phone. The Spot Finder was also extremely useful to ensure that I was maximizing the usefulness of the extender. Upon completing the simple setup, I unplugged the unit from the wall (near the router) and moved it to try different locations. Each time the Spot Finder (accessible via the extender's web portal) was very useful. I ultimately found a nice spot where it fit really well. I proceeded to pair my wireless printer to it which previously only had 1 of 4 bars signal strength to the network. After pairing it, the printer now had full signal strength. Using my computer on the main network, I decided to try and print to see if the printer could still be picked up. Sure enough, it worked like a charm. Absolutely no issues with printing. Instead, I was able to print faster because the printer used to have such a weak signal that it would pause mid-print job to continue to download the necessary data. In conclusion, I really believe this is an excellent product and definitely recommend it. It was super easy to set up and is seamless to use. It's clear that Linksys put a lot of time and thought into the development process. It definitely makes this product worthwhile and definitely a great choice.
