I got this to extend my Linksys ae7500's signal. The setup was really simple with the enclosed instructions and was up and running in about three minutes. I followed the instructions for the wireless setup, but then moved it another location, and used the built-in ethernet port to connect to my router, thus extending the signal, without any reduced speed. I have a full strength signal through most of my house.

Quickly found my router and was ready to use within a few minutes. Easy to see if a problem occurs as the green light switches to a blinking yellow light.

So far, it's great. It works way better than a 20 bucks one. Great speed, connection stability and distance coverage. I use it as an WAP to a Linksys WRT3200ACM. I ran a direct CAT 6 cable from the router on one part of the house to the other side. I now get full coverage everywhere, using same SSID and DHCP, firewall, and other services controlled from the main router.

    Did its job

It did its job. This was bought honestly to add a 2nd Arlo base station so my Arlo cams would reach further (reason that I picked out the one with the ethernet port on it.) The only reason its not a 5 star review is because of 2 things. On the box it advertises a spotfinder utility to help pick the best spot to place the extender. Well I just recently ran across the spot finder thing for the first time. The instructions weren't too clear on that, as well as the fact that I wasnt "WOWed" by the product. It did its job though so I'm not complaining. If i didn't already have a max stream router and was starting from scratch, I would probably opt for the mesh networking rather than going this route. My 2 cents for what its worth.

I bought this to use with an existing Linksys MAX-Stream Router to provide better coverage in my house. I have it set up as an access point. Works well and after 1 month have had no issues with stability or dropped connections, although some older devices will not automatically switch back and forth between the new AC1900 and my Linksys wireless router when I move around the house even though the signal strength varies when closer to one Linksys device or the other and they are share the same SSID. I think its an issue with the older mobile devices and not the Linksysy equipment but I did not expected this glitch. Deducting a star for the high price compared to alternatives.

set up was fairly easy. and the speed is great. it lists the node as (your wifi name).ext. you can set it up to change the name if you like through the instructions from Linksys. however, in my case i left it the same because of my personal room / house configuration. when i enter the room, i manually change to the ,ext wifi and it works perfectly.

I installed this in my basement where our kids were receiving a slightly week signal on their amazon firesticks for TV. It increased the signal strength from the our Xfinity modem/router, but the speed decreased. It works fine for the purpose intended for with something like a smart tv or firestick that stays stationary, but due to it setting up another network ie….5GHz, then 5GHz_Ext you can not roam with a cell/tablet/laptop from the basement to upstairs without having to switch networks. For this purpose you will need a set of mesh network extendors. I will eventually replace with this type of system and wish would have just put this $100 toward that from the get go as they have already come down in price.

Easy to connect. Bought this product over a month ago. I was shoppping around for an economical range extender. After trying this one out it was exactly what I needed although it wasn't the cheapest. I'm glad being my first choice it worked out and I recommend this one because when this product becomes a necessity it's easy to get lost in technicality, so having this as my starter choice was very greatful.

Bought this as a companion for the Linksys EA9500 router. The router had significantly less range compared to my previous nighthark R7000. The range extender gets the job done with solid speed and signal strength.

I needed to extend my wi-fi range to reach my woodshop which is separated from the house by about twenty feet. I did the wireless setup (rather than wired) and it was easily done, Works great. A less fancy, less pricey extender might have done as well for this situation, but it was in stock at the local store and I had it inside an hour.
