Just like other networking devices, a firmware update and proper configuration are needed to ensure long-term durability. If you still have the non-working RE7000 Extender, let us know what its current LED status so we can have one of our Escalation Engineers investigate if it's still good for a fix. Always having to reset it despite being plugged in really close to the modem. Has not helped to boost our signal in the house at all. In fact it is sitting unplugged in the box it came in and trying to find my receipt to take it back!

These did virtually nothing

They did not increase the range for wifi and would continually disconnect from the router. So basically, the computer would auto-join the repeater and I would get no internet connection. I would switch back to the router and things resumed. I am moving to the new Nest Wifi. Fingers crossed.
