The extender is in the green indicator area on the second floor. The computers are within 100 ft of the extender and the results I get do not seem to match what I should be getting. I felt this product isn't as good as described. I the same fair response from my router on the first floor as I do from this extender. I got the same from the Netgear extender. No product appears to really extend well that I have found.

By default, the range extender follows the wireless settings of your router. You can manually change the extended wireless settings of the RE7000. Here’s how it’s done: http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=187982
