Good quality & assisted with WiFi extension throughout section of home

The Linksys Max-Stream AC1900 dual Band repeater is a good way to increase coverage in your home. If you are not using a mesh wifi router, or possibly even if you are, the Linksys Max Stream repeater will allow you to connect wireless devices that may not otherwise be in range of your primary wireless router. The Max-Stream AC1900 repeater works by connecting to your wireless system, so it will have to be placed in a location where it can reach your wifi signal and it must be plugged into an electrical plug in order to have power. Once your wife router recognizes the Linksys AC 1900 you will then give your Linksys Max stream a name and a password and it will show up on your devices as a separate wifi connection. At least that is how I am using this device. Then you only have to connect your devices to this new wifi network created by the Dual band repeater. I have a nice router, but I was finding that the signal was getting pretty weak in places in my home, especially on the far end of the basement where I had an entertainment area set up for the kids. Be adding this repeater, I was able to provide a much stronger signal in those areas. I don't think the signal is nearly as fast as being directly connected to the primary wifi router, but it is certainly better than not having any signal at all or only a very weak wifi signal. The whole process is very simple to do and only takes a few minutes to complete. The other option would be a larger and much more expensive mesh wifi system.

Didn't work for me however the root cause of weak signal was my xfinity router modem.

Needed to extend my wireless to upstairs and outside. This did the trick.

This unit did not work for me. I was trying to link it to another brand modem/router, which should not have been a problem. However it never connected despite following online directions and obtaining phone tech support. Returned it, bought a mesh system and am very happy.

Easy to set up with good security. Has worked perfectly.

Everything was fine until I added a DTV genie receiver. Suddenly the receiver picture started freezing, moved the linksys extender to the other side of the house still kept freezing the screen Contacted linksys, they blamed directv! Dtv sent another receiver and still wouldn't work Rather than go back and forth. I just returned the extender
