|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy setup with WPS and the Linksys phone app. Linksys router and the RE7000 found each other right away, established connection with no issues. Logged on to the extender settings through a browser tweaked a couple of the settings and used the app to locate a place to put the extender. I didn't really have any serious dead spots but an area where the wifi signal was weak due to walls and location. The RE7000 fixed that issue right off and as an added bonus I have a really strong wifi signal in my backyard to use. I also tried the RE7000 with a different brand of MU-MIMO router at another location and it synced right up like before and worked just as well as it did with my Linksys router at home. Wifi speeds using the extender are great, pretty much the same as my router speeds with increased coverage beyond what I had before, super easy setup, and so far working great. If you're looking for a looking for an advanced dual band super fast range extender that works with a bunch of different brands of routers this is a good choice.

And it would not connect to my devices. I even tried to hook it up with an ethernet cord but still wouldn’t work…Better to just buy a new router.

Great addition to my AC5400 Tri-Band Router
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this device for a couple of days now and it was very easy to setup and connect to my AC5400 router. I placed it my upstairs hallway behind a small table and it is about 8 feet from the router. It has given me better coverage for the bedroom areas of my house. I can check the status of it using the free app from the App Store. It broadcasts both the 2.4 and 5ghz frequencies automatically. If you have a larger home, this is a must have to extend your wireless coverage throughout. I havent yet gone into my basement to see if the combination of the extender and router gives me a stronger signal, but I will update this review once I do.

Setting up the RE7000 Range Extender should be simple as it works with any WiFi router including those from Internet service providers. The Linksys RE7000 can easily extend your Wi-Fi to hard-to-reach locations in your home. However, it is recommended to place it midway between your router and the area that doesn't have Wi-Fi, and it should get at least fifty-percent of the routers Wi-Fi connection.
