      Hi, jlts,

The RE7000 Extender is capable of boosting your Wi-Fi range up to 10,000 sq. ft. However, thick walls, metal objects, appliances, and mirrors can cause interference that would affect the signal of your extender. We recommend taking advantage of its Spot Finder Technology feature to guide you where to properly relocate the unit for an optimal range.

For queries and assistance, we can be tapped anytime at LinksysCares@linksys.com. We'd be more than happy to serve you.

      Hi, WiFi,

The Linksys RE7000 is designed to extend the range of your wireless router up to 2,500 square feet (in a perfect environment). However, we must consider physical obstructions and wireless interference from other devices. Thus, in case you have future concern with it or any of our products, please feel free to communicate with us over email at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact info and the link of this review, for our reference.

It’s a decent extender. However, if you live in a multi-level home with as many as 20 devices on your network, this might not be the device for you. If you live alone and have a few things on your network and you need to extend your network for better bars, then this may work for you.

I am reviewing the Linksys RE7000-AC1900 Range Extender. First I was really surprised at how easy this was to setup and how well it connected to any recent type router. It had quite a few features and was the creme of the crop in performance. This allowed for multiple signals or you could use the included network jack on the bottom of the device. I thought it was nice that it allowed for you to use your existing SSID network name or give the extender its own name. One feature that I thought was really nice was it had a built in range gauge. I would say that the cost may be steep for some but for anyone looking for the best you should not consider anything else. I did not have a MU-MIMO network card to test the spectrum or maximum speed but for AC1200 it was blazing fast and very stable. This device has many more features but these are the main features that 99% of the folks will be interested in using. The last thing that really stands out is that this device will not need to be replaced for a very long time. Couple this with a larger space and it is the perfect combination of power and plug it in and forget it if you want.

      Hello, JB0911,

The Linksys RE7000 offers dual wireless bands of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz for combined speeds of up to 1.9 Gbps. However, the connection will always vary with the connection your network subscription and the connection that you got from the router. Relocating the extender and checking the connection behind the router may help us isolate the concern as well as our Escalation Engineers. Thus, we understand you and in case you have future concern with any of our products, please feel free to communicate with us through email at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact info and the link of this review, for reference.

      Hi, Jenn,

Obstructions and frequency intereference may cause a dropping connection of your network. You may try relocating the extender. Make sure to place it in between your router and the area you wished to extend wireless network. A power cycle may also help, and update us then on how it goes so we can have you aided by our Escalation Engineers by sharing this over email at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact info and the link of this review, for reference.

I received this along with a LINKSYS EA9500 router to review. While the EA9500 had impressive signal strength, the way my house is constructed prevented me from achieving any real throughput in my master bedroom in the far corner of the house. I've been through several high power router/range extender combos and this is the first solid solution I've had yet! When I checked after setting up the extender, I was able to get full 75MBps internet speeds (which is my provider's full speed) from my master bedroom when previous solutions were usually only able to get me about 10MBps. Setup was very easy, and combining this with the LINKSYS EA9500 provided a seamless roaming network. Both the base station and extender have the same SSID and my devices switch between them seamlessly. My favorite feature is the fact that the setup software reads the signal quality at the extender and lets you know if you've selected a good spot for it. You can choose to extend wireless or wired by plugging in an Ethernet cable. I chose to use the wireless feature, which involves plugging the extender into an outlet and nothing else.

      Hi Gordon,

Our Linksys RE7000 range extender was designed to have two simple ways to set up. With a press of the WPS button to automatically sync the range extender to your router and, with the simple setup from a mobile device.
