I thought this item would he easy to set up, I have set up similar ones. Once you set up and add the new password it has no Internet access, reset it several times to start over and finally I gave up and returned it.

Looks nice, but did not work for me. Although the signal was stronger, but signal kept dropping. So had to return it.

Didn’t really see much of a difference trying to extend the Wi-Fi in my home connection was still very spotty

I am a little disappointed with it. It seems I have more trouble with buffering on the TV in the basement then I did before. For the cost, it was below my expectations.

In less than a month it stopped working altogether. I called Linksys tech support and went through a step by step troubleshoot with a technician, and determined the extender was totally bricked. While it worked it did what it had to do, but it would overheat immediately, and if it only works for 20 days it doesn’t give a good quality impression. It’s worth noting that I had it plugged to a surge protector and no other device has given me trouble like this.

Did not work as we were told it would so we returned it. Salesman told us it was what we needed for our camper to improve wifi but it didn’t do so.

We have skipped a lot of the continual upgrades in world of computers. Spent $3K+ about 4 yes ago on new laptop system; have yet to get it operational. SO-few months ago invested in another system only to find out more equipment needed; new modem, new router, range expander & countless hours on phone with techs trying to resolve issues. 4 months later still using cellphone for what I can; New top of line tablet remains in case unused. So now we have TWO. It just keeps getting more & more complicated & frustrating.

Returned this item, just not what I needed. My wi-fi was soooo bad that this didn't come close to solving my issues.

I don’t recommend this product. It get constantly disconnected from the main router

When I first used, it was hard to connect. Finally connected after about 7 tries. Worked fine for a while. Now it will not connect anymore.

Let me start off by saying that i was able to get a better wifi signal upstairs in my house using this extender. Set up was incredibly easy, my router does not WPS so i had to set up using the webpage the manual tells you to go to. there were a couple of issues with getting the extender to connect to my Ipad at first but afterwards setup was a breeze. I used the spot check to find the best spot upstairs to set up the extender and i was off and running, i was definitely getting a better signal after setting up the extender. Now for the bad part my Ipad will not switch from the extenders connection when i go downstairs which when i am downstair my signal is weak and slow so i have to manually go into my setting and reconnect to my router, and the same issue happens when i go upstairs my ipad will not automatically connect to the extender since it is still able to get a signal from my router downstairs so i have to manually go into my settings and switch it again. it is not a deal breaker by no means but i did want to point this out to anyone interested in buying the extender.

I wanted to use my storage room above my garage for an office but my WIFI would not reach too well so this works wonderful.

I constantly had to reconnect and do the entire setup from scratch. I spent more time fixing it than using it. Finally gave up. It is sitting in a box somewhere now

I thought by buying this rather expensive repeater that it would fix all my problems but it didn't. It does help some.

I always keep my wireless networks up to date with the latest tech, and am currently using a linksys ac 5400 router, so I am used to their products and setups. This extender set up very easy, and it was identified in seconds on my existing network. Initially, I had some problems with drop outs, and disconnects, but, like so many new tech products, it sometimes just needs a little while to "settle in". It not only works fine, and gives me a strong signal on my main floor and in the basement, since my router is on the second floor of my house, most routers have a hard time sending strong 5GHZ signals through floors and walls sometimes. It also gave me a much stronger signal outside in my backyard, so that is a nice addition for summer internet usage in the yard! great support as well; I called their tech support with my initial issues, and they were very helpful, and followed up with phone calls and emails to make sure that the item was working as expected. If you're looking for an AC wireless network extender, this one would be a very good choice!

Difficulty in setting up. Not compatible with certain systems. Does not work well in split level homes

Do not waste your money or time even considering this product. I had to return the first one I bought because it was "defective". The one I swapped it out for did not fare much better. I constantly have to reset this device, at least once a day. I tried giving it the benefit of the doubt, but am now out $100 because the Best Buy return policy doesn't cover "benefit of the doubt" testing. Do not make the same mistake I did.

I did not like this wifi extender. It did not better my wifi range. Don’t know if it was my service or just product. Returned to store.

No difference as far as I can tell... Easy - just plug it in. But I don't see any difference in internet speed. Disappointed...

do not buy it kept loosing the connection not great
