Great performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wifi extender is great. I have a full basement and I use it for my media. Signal was horrible, but this extender made it so much better. Great product.

Enjoying the extended network
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really enjoying being able to cover my household with my router and now my entire backyard with the range extender. Setup was super easy. i even accidentally knocked the ranger extender from the outlet for over 12 hours and simply plugged it back in and it reconnected itself. full disclaimer too by the way; I received this range extender free from Belkin for my honest feedback.

Missed Opportunity
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a small corner of my home where wi-fi is not the most reliable, so I thought this would be a good solution. The problem that I have with items like this, is that they take up the ENTIRE outlet. I don't have that many outlets in my home. I'm not sure why they don't make it easier for it to multi-task. I also have an extender so that I can use a wired connection (which takes up an entire wall outlet but also has an outlet). I require a wired connection to work at home. This unit only has a ethernet "in" port, and not an "out", so I couldn't replace my extender because it doesn't have the functionality I need. Again, I would think that it could have both options in the same unit. We are planning to move soon, so maybe it will be something I can utilize in the new home.

Setup is a breeze with WPS!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product works as advertised. Setting up the extender with WPS was incredibly easy... I did have to enable WPS on my AT&T U-Verse gateway but once I checked the box and saved that setting I tried WPS setup again and with two button pushes and a brief wait the extender was active and working. I unplugged it from one outlet and moved it to my kitchen and it connected to my router in about 1 minute. I'm very happy with the results. I cannot speak to the claims about wide wireless coverage because my house is not that big but the extender is working great for me.

Close But No Cigar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was REALLY hoping this product would be the answer to my wireless prayers. My house is a two story, 3100 square feet craftsman home and we experience a lot of connectivity issues. We are currently using a Linksys WRT1900AC router which works wonderfully but the signal doesn't reach to the kitchen and dining room upstairs. For some reason, we just can get enough signal strength in that particular area. When I was asked by Linksys to test out this product in exchange for an honest review, I thought why not. This house would be perfect to test this out. I received the product and the instructions were clear to follow. Set up was easy for the 2.4 GHz connection, however, the 5 GHz was very spotty and this was with the extender within 10 feet of the router. We tried the process over again, as recommended, and still had problems. We tried setting up for a third time but did not set up the 5 GHz and moved the router at least 25 feet away from the router. At first, the extender worked fine. After the 3 day, the extender kept loosing its connection. The light goes from green to orange frequently and never stays green. I don't know if I received a bad item but this did not answer my wireless prayers. I was really hoping this would work in my house. What I do recommend to Linksys, if they could change the front light to two lights. One for the 2.4 GHz connection and one for the 5 GHz. It is confusing to figure out which one is connected and which one is not. This would help out tremendously in the set up process.

Posted .Hi Taylowendy,
The Linksys RE7000 is designed to extend your wireless network to hard-to-reach locations in your home. Use Spot Finder feature on the Max-Stream range extender to pinpoint placement boosting your network signal strength and coverage. We also took note of your feedback for future product developments.

Pricy, but great coverage
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My house size and router combination doesn't necessitate the use of a wi-fi extender, but it is certainly nice to have to make sure all corners of the home are covered with the fastest speeds possible. Set-up for me wasn't exactly simple as the light on the extender never changed to indicate that it was ready for setup. I eventually just pushed the WPS button and it connected quickly. If you own a large home and want to cover all corners with the fastest internet speeds you have (and don't mind the price), I would recommend the purchase.

It works
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first few steps in setting up the extender are easy, but then it gets tricky. My suggestion is to use a wired connection for set up and save yourself some frustration. Once the extender is set up, it seems to work well. I tested a couple of different devices in different rooms to see if the extended range wi-fi reception made any difference over non-extended, and it did. Next, I tested it outside on the balcony, with the thick glass door closed, and it still showed a stronger signal. So, despite the set up issue, the RE7000 is a performer.

Its worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Large house with poor coverage on far side/upstairs that is not easy to connect via wired Ethernet so I bought the AC1900. Mindless set-up that paired seamlessly with EA8500 - increased speed by 50+% (29 to mid 40s). TBD if performance will be sufficient enough for new 4K TV / household needs but hopeful. I recommend the product.

Works Great! Easy Set-up!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't had this very long but so far it works great! Set-up was fast and very, very easy. I don't have a huge house, and get a decent wireless signal throughout my whole house, so I tried this in my basement and it connected to my wireless without any issues and gave me a full signal once connected to it. This would be great for anyone with a large house or a house where you have "Dead spots" throughout. For me, I'll continue to use it in my basement where my signal typically isn't that strong, but it will be now!

Easy setup and great coverage
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me just say, that I paired this with a Linksys AC5400 and it's great! It not only allowed for WPS setup (which took 3 steps), but also works on the same SSID, for roaming across the house! It even has a neat pop up should you connect and your router be offline. It also has a gigabit port for a computer or a switch! So if you don't have a wifi adapter on a desktop (like me) it made connecting to the network easy! This is probably the easiest setup for an extender I've ever completed!

Works well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Helps to spread the already good Linksys wireless network throughout the house. Don't hope for miracles because wireless is never as good as wired. For streaming movies this works great. For streaming games, just run a wire.

Great Product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the the Linksys wifi wall plug range extender(RE7000) for over 2 weeks now and havent faced any problems. I live in a multi story home and I play online games (primarily dota 2 ) a lot. I havent had any problems since I started using the product. The plug is installed in the living room upstairs and I play in my bedroom and I havent faced any trouble or dropped signals. Really good product and I will definitely recommend it to others.

Easy to install and does the job
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extender was shipped on a Monday and received on a Thursday. I was somewhat skeptical of the wifi extending even more, but I'm a believer. We don't have any dead spots, but one area of the house has one bar of wifi versus 2-3 bars in the rest of the house. Read the instructions, linked up extender with the router via WPS and worked instantly. Full bars of wifi throughout the house and outdoors in the front and backyard. Great product!

Quality Build and Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device has solved my lack of outdoor wifi problem. Previously my signal was less than superior while working out back and trying to stay connected to the network. Now controlling devices like speakers, lights, or watching how to videos w/out spinning around the lawn looking like I'm trying to receive a signal from ET is the new norm. Thank you linksys for delivering on a quality product that just works!!

Great range extender for a large home
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic range extender for a very large home. It provides a strong, reliable connection that is good for streaming 4K content and video games. I highly recommend it and I would also recommend to use with a Linksgs router, though it doesn't matter what brand of router you have (I don't think). If you're in the market for a range extender for a large home or business, buy this one!

Not good for office
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put it in an office with 1 Gigabit speed uplink to the Internet and wired connect to router. It only gets ~150-200Mbps on wireless when no one connects to it (sort of OK). But speed drops to 10-20Mbps when 20-30 users connected at the same time. Not good for office (~1000 sqft)

Posted .Hi,
Although it is normal for the speed to drop especially if there are a lot of devices connected at the same time, optimizing the extender might help to improve its overall performance. You may need to check its location and make sure that it gets better connection from the router as it is dependent to it. Updating the firmware might also do wonders. Hard to tell.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was provided with this item to test and review it. For starters, it was pretty easy to install and program. It's a simple device that plugs into a wall outlet after you pair it with your router and wireless network. That was pretty easy. To be honest, I am not certain whether this device has improved wireless reception in my house. I live in a 2850 sq. ft. home. My router is located in my bedroom and my desktop PC is located at the opposite end of the house and is connected via a wireless TP Link adapter. I placed this device in the living room/hall which is about midway between the router and my desktop. My wireless connection network on my PC shows 4 out of 5 bars which is a decent signal but I used to get that pretty consistently without this device so it's hard to know if there is really any improvement. Wireless speed seems to average between 72 to 86 mbps.but goes as high as 144 occasionally. One thing that I have noticed is that our streaming Roku devices no longer lag or hang. This could also be due to a recently purchased increase in wireless strength from our provider. I am also able to consistently get wireless in my garage. All in all I wish I could tell more objectively is this device makes a difference. Without that objective evidence, I'm not sure I would have purchased this device but if it does what it says it does, you can't go wrong.

Awesome Product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We always had issues with choppy internet connection in our bedroom, which is the furthest room from our router. This product has eliminated our dead spot and now we can stream Netflix and other services with ease. Videos load so much faster and the picture quality is so much better. The set up took less than 5 minutes. It's an awesome product!

Not what I hoped for
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a two story house that has, at best, spotty wifi. Our modem and router are tucked away in the back of the house on the second floor because that's where my home office is. Of course, this makes for a difficult set-up and our computer downstairs and Samsung smart TV have some serious struggles sometimes. That being said, I was pretty excited about the possibilities of this product. Unfortunately, it really didn't live up to expectations. Set-up wasn't difficult, but it took several tries to get it properly set-up. Lots of back and forth before everything synced. I have a Linksys smart router, which puts out two wifi networks (one is a 5GHz). With the extender, I now have 4 options to hook-up to. My regular network plus an extended version of that and my 5GHz network and an extended version of that as well. When I connected the downstairs computer to the extended network, it seemed much better...for about 30 seconds. Then the signal was dropped entirely...no Internet connection. And when I went in to my Network settings on my TV, the two "extended" networks showed as the WEAKEST signals. The extender doesn't not maintain a steady wifi signal, which makes things even more frustrating than they were before. Bottom line, the concept is great, but the execution? Not so much. I really wanted this to be great, but I can't recommend it.

Posted .Hi Glspark2007,
We appreciate the time you spent in sharing your experience with us. How far is it from the router? Perhaps the extender is not getting enough signal from the router that’s why the connection is intermittent. We suggest that you plug in the range extender midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. Be sure you have at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal at that point on the device you used for setup. If you have two bars or lower, move closer to your router.
