The range was too far I guess,, could not get it to link up. I was able to get it to work in my home for which it is probably overkill. To set up, the to router is in a room in one end of the house and it kept telling me I was too close, so I ended up b being almost in the garage on the other end of the house! Due to covid circumstances, I will keep it to avoid going back in the store. My house is 2100 as ft w/2 levels.

So far no issues what soever and wow tons of signal. Im getting almost my entire 50Mb download with this one the others maxed out at 35 THis is definatly the one to get ..... Awesome

It is a welcome addition to any home that experiences dreaded 'dead spots' with their Wi-Fi signals. Your 'dead spot' problem is a thing of the past! Just plug in the LINKSYS AC1900, press one button to set up the device and your on your way. There are no complicated wiring set-ups to contend with and the LINKSYS AC1900 has removed all installation guesswork. One of the many great features that this device has is called "Spot Finder Technology". "Spot Finder Technology" allows you to visually see where the optimal placement of the LINKSYS AC1900 should be. This is an awesome feature as it takes the guesswork out of the device placement. This is a "must have it" feature. WI-FI range is huge, and I had absolutely no problems with dead spots within my home and or my backyard. I even went so far as to go to one of my neighbors homes located two houses down the street with no loss of signal. Amazing! The LINKSYS AC1900 is the one to depend upon. The first one I set up and used by picking up the wireless signal to boost. It worked "OK" but then I saw that it could be hardwired to repeat the signal and that did the trick. My wireless router is in my basement so it doesn't consistently reach our second floor. Now I have an AC1900 hardwired on my first and second floors and all of our wifi strength issues are gone. I ranked it a 4 and that is because if I were using it wirelessly to rebroadcast I would give it a 3 and if using it with a hard wire connection I would give it a 5.

We’re glad to know that our set up worked well for you. It is recommended to position the extender where there is at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal. You can use the Spot Finder feature on the Max-Stream range extender to find the best position for optimum performance. I use this upstairs and i have 1gbs internet and I still am able to get on average 700mbs download and upload via ethernet cable. Highly recommend if you are needing a stronger signal
