I use the extender to get a signal in my gaming room upstairs. I use a Ethernet cable and plug it directly from the extender to my console. I have noticed sometimes it disconnects but I’m unsure if it’s the extender or my router.

Coverage of 2Ghz very good but 5Ghz not so good

I found tp-link AC 750, a comparable wifi extender to be much easier to install and operate on both bands.

Even bridged the connections so it won't need multiple logins. Works great. Only drawback the ethernet connection don't give a strong download. Works better for wifi.
