Garage is on opposite side of house from office with router connection. This allows for stronger signal for tablets and TV in that part of the home.

There is a pretty big drop in speed for devices connected to the repeater network but it does expand the overall reach.

It's good to know that you love your RE7000 wireless extender. Yes, you can add another RE7000 to your existing Wi-Fi network to boost other areas having poor Wi-Fi signal. To avoid possible interference, take advantage to use its Spot Finder Technology feature to guide you where to position the device for an optimal range.

Did not connect with modem.

Uses a simple push button to connect only. Box does not give a list of compatible brands but Best Buy was happy to refund money.

The RE7000 is a WiFi extender which is designed to be connected to a wireless network for a wider coverage. If you’re just using a plain modem, then it’ll not work as modems don’t have WiFi.
