In fact when connected to the extension we only get 3 or 4 bars out of 5 bars. Too bulky too. There are smaller extenders with better signal.

Did not connect with modem.

Uses a simple push button to connect only. Box does not give a list of compatible brands but Best Buy was happy to refund money.

The RE7000 is a WiFi extender which is designed to be connected to a wireless network for a wider coverage. If you’re just using a plain modem, then it’ll not work as modems don’t have WiFi. There was a complete dead zone for wifi for half of my house, and it boosted a strong signal to that part of my house! Can now stream and game comfortably with this connection! The only thing was that it was tricky to set up with my router, and it took a little while to get it to set up. With persistence, you can get it set up, too! Just follow the instructions!

The Linksys RE7000 range extender should be able to extend the WiFi coverage of up to 10,000 square feet. You can try to relocate the extender and make sure the firmware is updated to optimize the device.
