I only have it hooked up to a smart clock in my bedroom (will be adding more devices later). Every day my smart clock says it is "connecting" because it lost the internet. It is rather frustrating. The extender is next to my Roku, which never loses internet, so I haven't switched it to the extender. I wouldn't buy this personally unless you have a Linksys router too. I have two separate connections and the Linksys only works sporadically, so I have to disconnect my phone and connect to the router. When it works, it is great. It just doesn't work all the time.

The Linksys RE7000 should be able to extend the coverage up to 2,000 sq. ft. You can try to relocate the extender using the Spot Finder feature to ensure the range extender is in the right spot. I did not want to buy the new mesh routers since they are so expensive so this was definitely a good affordable alternative to use with my existing setup.
