The Linksys RE7000 Range Extender delivers WiFi Range of up to 2500 sq ft. You can try to relocate the extender using the spot finder feature to locate the best place to plug the extender.

In this closet are clothes and shoes blocking the router. This causes very WiFi. A Best Buy employee suggested a WiFi extender. Sounded like an extender was exactly what I needed. Nope. The extender wasn’t getting connection. I’m sure this is a quality piece of equipment but it’s not what I needed. Luckily I was able to return it and use the money towards an Eeros System. The Eero is the way to go.

Ideally, you'd put it closer to your WAP than you'd think, and it will extend your wireless connection that much further. Make sure to do some research into how this works before purchasing, but if used correctly, can greatly benefit your wireless range throughout your location.

As it is I was only able to get the 5G connected which works well for Netflix on my Roku but not for streaming Xfinity which my smart tv requires 3G. I am afraid to reboot the device for the fear of not having either one connected. The product says that it connects to all modems. It might link easier with a Linksys Modem/router.

The Linksys RE7000 works fine most of the routers or gateway devices, and only supports 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz band simultaneously. If you wish to power cycle the extender, you may unplug it and plug it back in after 20-30 seconds. I don't have many problems with my home network devices. I have two Linksys extenders and three Linksys routers. Bought this to add to my home network. Router is in the basement. This sits on first floor and I have another extender on my second floor.
