Nice a little pricey. Sets up well with a Linksys router. Hard to plug in as it takes a lot of space on the surge protector.

Our basement had very week signal, after installing this extender, signal strength has improved. It is paired with max stream router so moving a device between the different areas in the house is seamless. We bought it on sale, $65, so it is a great value for the price.

So, to start, it's a decent for coverage. It did push out the needed speed to my devices. The downside is that it is not lasting two years. I need to get it replaced already and I got it almost 2 years ago.

Easy to set up right out of the box. Set it up by your wireless router first. Then you can plug it in and out of the socket in your home whererver the signal works best, as long as you get a signal (in this case as long as the color is green or yellow). Highly recommend. Remember to use Speedtest when you reconnnect.

I have a guest house that uses the main house's WiFi. It reaches, but the 5G just barely does and my laptop won't stay connected. I decided to give this guy a shot. Setup was pretty and it works like a charm. Here's the trick. I thought that this needed to be somewhere between the router and the guest house. Nope. I put it IN the guest house and it made a huge difference. Now all of my devices have full bars and I can have as much control on the Linksys as I'd like as far as security settings and such. Go for it.

We needed to extend the range of our modem in our home due to the number of devices using the internet. This works beautifully. It is to setup and configure. It’s also a life saver. I would recommend purchasing if you need to improve internet connectivity.

Work good for me. The router setup is easier but it best to do the online setup. Because you will have more control over your extender. I found out I didn't need it and decided to keep it. Good thing I did, Later my roku stick plus stop finding my 5g network only 2.4 which made the roku channel freeze or get pixel. So I used this extension under 5g only just for the ruko stick plus and now my roku stick plus works fine no more freezing as long as I keep the extender on 5g only.

I had a hole in my wifi coverage in part of my basement, the signal doesn't go through 12" of concrete well. I put this unit above the basement on the first floor and I now have a good signal down there and better signal on the main floor beyond repeater. I have a Linksys MAX-STREAM router, so it switches over seamlessly. I set it up a month and a half ago and haven't had to touch it since. I thought set-up was done with an app, but it's done with the unit's web page you access with your phone or tablet.

    Extended range, added random disconnects

First of all, I have the new EA9500 Linksys Wireless Router and I get random wireless disconnects when I'm on the other side of my house. I did not have that problem with the EA8500 I replaced with the new EA9500. Because it was only happening when I was far away, I thought I could buy a range extender and maybe that would help. The one thing it did well was extend the range. I loved the user interface and all the features about this range extender. The only thing I didn't like is that it didn't fix my original problem and actually made it worse. I would get more random disconnects even when my signal was rock solid. Granted, they are very random and quick disconnects that you wouldn't notice if you're just on the Internet, but you do notice if on a VPN for work, playing an online game, etc. I wonder if I had kept the EA8500 if it would have worked even better for me? I presume "yes" which is why I went with 4 stars. I think this range extender would be amazing for 90% or greater of all the routers out there it just didn't work well with the EA9500 (yet) so I returned it.

      Hi MJeep,

The RE7000 should work well with any routers. Here are some tips for you to avoid interference and improve the wireless signal:

      • Position your wireless router in a central location.
      • Change your wireless channel.
      • Update the firmware.

Once done, observe the connection for a day or two. If all else fails, please send us an email at [email protected] with your contact details and the link to this review.

      Regards,

I bought this to use in a separate building on my property to which I had run an ethernet cable. I decided to add WiFi access so I researched the various products and decided on this Linksys extender. I wanted a Linksys product because I have a Linksys WRT1900AC router and I like to to stick to one product family. I haven't been disappointed. This unit was easy to set up as a WiFi access point using my wired ethernet connection. It was easy to create and setup two new networks with different passwords. The WiFi coverage in the shop is great and I haven't noticed any issues with the WiFi dropping out at all.

Have a Linksys 802.11ac router in basement and needed better reception upstairs (and using WiFi on cellular calls/phones, too). This puppy does the trick and then some. Plugged it in and the auto-setup worked like a champ. 5 bars all over now. Thanks.

I need to expand my WiFi into another room that had no WiFi coverage. I had no way to access through the attic being a flat roof. Was very easy to hook up and yes, it provides great service into this room.
