It DOES work though but the speeds are not great to use as a seperate network extender. I purchased it for my security cameras, so that works well enough.

Be sure you have at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal at that point on the device you used for setup. Adjusting the channel of the router will also help optimize your wireless connection. I'm having trouble with extender losing signal at times and then in turn still have some trouble streaming. I have to unplug it and then plug it back in to have it pick up the signal. I'm going to try moving it and see it that helps.

It slightly increased the speed and it is about 20 feet away. It also was not easy to set up. Would think twice about purchasing again.
