It works in amplifying my Linksys router but on certain occasions it seem to lose connect to the main Linksys router. When it works it's a great product but it's not consistent at times.

We can try to relocate the Linksys RE7000 WiFi Extender as wireless interference can cause connection issues. You may also try to update the firmware and see if that will make a difference.

Trouble transferring data

So, we bought two - one for the other floors and stairways. It may have helped a bit, but we did not see any real difference in wifi connectivity.

My router is on one end of the house and I needed to get better WiFi at the other end. The extended did not maintain the speed. I returned the unit and got another router.

Depending on the network environment, the RE7000 extender is expected to cover around 10,000 square feet, designed to eliminate dead zones. Keeping the firmware updated and utilizing the Spot Finder Technology might have helped with the challenge. I don't know why LinkSys doesn't have a higher-speed extender. You're better off getting (2) AC2200 and linking them via daisy-chain
