I thought it would have been a easy set up since all my wifi equipment is Linksys.

To boost your Wi-Fi range, it is recommended to position the RE7000 Extender to a spot at least 50% from your router's Wi-Fi signal. You may take advantage of the Spot Finder Technology feature to guide you where to properly relocate your extender for an optimal wireless coverage.
