Highly recommended!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really impressed by this router, I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. I had a Linksys device already which was working great and I was pretty happy with but decided to try this one also. I've had this one working for about a week without any issues. Note that this is a tri band router not dual band. First the installation was the easiest and trouble free I've ever experienced for a router setup. I got it out of the box, connected the cables, opened a browser to go to the specified address and it took about 5 minutes to be online again. As far as performance I decided to test it at home streaming an ultra HD movie on Netflix on 3 different devices and worked flawless. I didn't notice any lag in performance in any of them. The range is also pretty good, I live in a 3 story townhouse and the router is in the basement, sometimes the wireless signal in the 3rd floor is not 100% but it never goes less than 45%. I've noticed this in my other routers also but I didn't notice a performance issue. The Linksys software used for router setup is very user friendly and the best feature is the parental controls. Unfortunately, I've had issues sometimes when a particular device is supposed to be blocked but it turns out to have internet access. Luckily it was just a matter of rebooting the router to correct it but I've had this issue with other Linksys routers as well so I would take a half star off from its rating since this feature is very important to me. In summary, I believe this is an excellent router performance wise and very easy to install. I would consider it at the top of my list!

Not Worth it!! Can't Stream 4k smoothly at all.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router to replace an aging Netgear R6400. boy was I wrong about buying a Linksys. This EA8300 couldn't stream 4k movies or 1080p DTS-HD or Master from my Asustor NAS to my Google Nexus Player. The Netgear R6400 was able to stream all of my content with out a hiccup. And to add injury to Linksys once I stream 3 movies at the same time it buffers like crazy till the point the movie jitters. Horrible!! will be giving this back tomorrow.

Not impressed, range issue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i would think for the price of this router, size and size of massive antenae it would provide better coverage than my $60 Asus but it does not, if anything it was worse so it went back.

Setting up the EA8300 Router should be easy if your modem has an active internet connection. We'd appreciate if you will share with us your Ticket Number at [email protected] so we can investigate if there was a breakdown of the process so this won't happen again. Make sure that you actually need one before buying
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having trouble with internet speed so the Best Buy associate told me to buy this new router. It wouldn’t work with our older operating system so I bought a new computer. My internet still wasn’t any faster. It was my internet service and not the router. I didn’t need to buy it and so I have a brand new 179.99 router that Best Buy won’t take back because their returns policy SUCKS!! Not to mention the $500 I spent on the computer.

Another Great Linksys Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Just recently installed this router and so far it is working great. I had been using a Linksys Max-Stream AC1900 Dual-Band Router before upgrading to this router so I was already familiar with the Smart WI-FI app and setup was a breeze. I am currently running 2 Android smart phones and 1 laptop on the 5GHz bands; 4 Android tablets, a WI-FI printer, a Nintendo Wii, and a desktop computer on the 2.4GHz band; and 2 TiVo boxes and an Xbox 360 hardwired via Ethernet cable to the gigabit ports. All of these can be running simultaneously and the router handles it without any issues. This router works just as great as the previously mentioned AC1900 router, but adds an extra 5GHz band to handle more 5GHz devices. As far as the connection speed on the 2.4GHz band, it handles everything I need to and more without any issues. The range also seems to be a bit longer than the AC1900 as I was able to get good signal strength over a block away when I tested just how far I could go from my house before losing signal while watching a YouTube video on my tablet. In summary, I’m going to give this 5/5 stars for ease of setup, 5/5 stars for connection speed, and 5/5 stars for signal strength and range, giving this router a total average of 5 stars. (I didn’t give it a rating on price as I received this router for free in exchange for writing an honest review.)

Top Notch Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A couple weeks ago I received this router from Linksys in return in return for an honest review and I have to say I am very pleased with it. Setup was a breeze and I had no trouble linking my iPad, iPhone, PC, laptop, printer, five (yes, five!) Amazon Echo and Dot devices and smart TV to my wi-fi; it was all done in less than ten minutes, including updating the Linksys apps on my iPhone and iPad. For me the ultimate test was whether I could print from my iPad which I had problems with with my previous Linksys router where my iPad could not 'find' the printer and I had to turn the wifi on the printer off then back on in order for it to be found every time I printed something (only with the iPad not the laptop or PC) with this router every time I go to print something the printer shows up, ready to go. Another plus with this router is that my aging HP laptop is loading pages much faster, no more frustration sitting here twiddling my thumbs while certain websites take what seems like forever to load, now they load in a fraction of the time! Another advantage with this router, not once has any of my Echo or Dot devices lost wifi contact which happened with regularity using my previous router. One last plus over my previous Linksys, the AC 1750 is the size, this has a smaller footprint so it fits where I want it hidden from view yet it delivers more signal strength covering our 1900 sq foot house, back yard and out to the edge of the driveway.

Awesome Range, Consistent Reliable Fast Connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Linksys provided me with this router for free in exchange for my honest review. Prior to Linksys sending me the EA8300 I had been using their EA6500v2 router. That router was a decent dual band router. However in the last year or so there's been a lot more folks moving in nearby, so lots of new Wi-Fi congestion and it's made my range and speed drop. The EA8300 seems to punch right through that, especially on the 5GHz band. I get range way outside of my home and a little ways down the street now and at much better speeds. The setup was easy, and almost identical to the setup on the EA6500v2. So it was a super familiar and painless experience. From plugging it in until everything was configured and running was around 5 minutes max. I think most consumers could handle the setup without needing someone there to help them through it. So far it's been super stable as well. So, speed, range, stability. Those are the 3 things I require for a router to win me over. If things change I will come back and update this review, but as of now I'm very happy and have no complaints.

Posted .Hi,
We hear you, and we'd like to make sure your router works as intended. To achieve reliable coverage, place it next to your modem in an open location, away from large metal objects and magnets. Raising it above floor level helps as well. Please have our Escalation Engineers contact you for more workarounds. Just email your contact details at LinksysCares@linksys.com along with the link to this post for our reference.

Posted .Hello Grunt0331,
Physical obstructions are one factor that would affect the connection of your devices to the Linksys router. We recommend placing the device somewhere high or in an elevated area to get around the obstruction. Seems Solid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this router for free in exchange for an honest review. Easier setup than my Asus ac1900 that I was using previously. You don't need a PC to set this up, just download the app for either Android or iOs. Fast setup, very fast speeds. I have 18-20 clients connected to the router at once and haven't seen any slowdowns with multiple streams at once. One thing that is different is it has 1 2.4ghz band and 2 5ghz bands, which is supposed to aid in keeping streaming from bogging down. Seems to be effective. Coverage is very good, full signal throughout my 1800sqft. 2 story house with finished basement, as well as into the yard. No need to reboot in the 3weeks I've been using it. App text is kinda small, needs an option to make it larger for those of us with aging eyes.

The Linksys EA8300 model is a tri-band technology router which delivers the fastest combined Wi-Fi speeds to more devices, ideal for 4K, HD video streaming, and next-generation online gaming. Excellent Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work in IT and I'm on my pc all day long. I have 12 devices connected to my network on a daily basis. This router handles all of the connections and has great range. I've upgraded the service from my ISP for 60MB to 200MB, because of very slow downloads and surfing of the net. Since I put this router in place I'm averaging download speeds of 185MB and upload speeds or 37MB .. Love the 3 networks, I moved my work PC and TV's to their own network, and everything is extremely fast .. and even my ipad at the far corner of the house (router is in the basement) is fast now .. No more buffering with Netflix, streaming is done like it's supposed to be .. uninterrupted!! Unbelievable, I would highly recommend this router.
