    Very solid router

Not a huge upgrade for me as I already had a Linksys AC1900 dual-band (no MU-MIMO), but I needed a bit more power considering I'm running the following: 5Ghz AC band: 4 Nest Outdoor cameras (24/7 cloud surveillance) 2 streaming FireSticks 1 Desktop PC 1 Laptop Multiple tablets Multiple phones 2.4Ghz Band: Inkjet AIO Printer Ethernet Ports: Xbox One (sometimes 2 at once) Xbox 360 Wii U This router handles traffic very well with its' multiple technologies such as Tri-Band, (867 Mbps 5GHz + 867 Mbps 5GHz + 400 Mbps 2.4GHz) with MU-MIMO Wave 2 support, Quad-core 716MHz processor (equal to 1.4GHz dual-core processor) with 256MB of DDR3 system memory and 256MB of flash memory, seamless roaming, and 4 powerful antennas. I have had no disconnects or lagging from any devices so far. Again, not a huge upgrade, but big enough to notice a difference. If you have a lot of devices on your network at once, particularly the 5Ghz AC band, this router provides a lot of punch. Got it on sale for a very good price! Web interface is excellent and easy to use.

Needed to replace a 5 year old router from a different manufacturer that bricked. Ordered online and picked up in store. In & out quickly. Quick and easy set up. Played well with my devices that include laptops, tablets, iPhones, security cameras, & apple TV's. Easily able to customize security. Can monitor remotely. Can't comment on longevity as unit was recently installed.

First off very easy to set up, put in your own password, and your off, no more choosing between multiple wifi signals there is just one, great, Now my smart tv doesn't have to wait to buffer up, its ready to stream, even while the kids are gaming in other room, best part is full bar signal throughout our 2800 st ft house..yess, I would highly recommend this router, Model #ea8300

Great Upgrade to my Verizon Fios Home Network..!

Just upgrated the router I got from Verizon when I got my Fios service (no bad, but not the best) to the Linksys AC2200 Tri-Band Wi-fi Router and the improvement of the speed and wireless connection is amazing...! I was afraid that it won't work with Verizon Fios (since their techs recommend not to use other than their own brand) but it did so, YES the Linksys AC2200 is compatible with Verizon Fios Internet service. It's so easy to set it up, it took me about twenty minutes. It works great...I totally recommend it if you're planning to upgrade an old router...!!!

    Another Great Linksys Router

    Posted .

I received this router as part of the Linksys Best Buy Friends and Family Program. As with all Linksys routers if you follow the 7 steps in the Quick Start Guide it literally will only take 15 minutes to connect to the router. I changed the Wi-Fi name and Wi-Fi Password to the name on my current router and all my devices automatically connected. Pretty seamless really. To take full advantage of the capabilities of this router, I purchased an AC1900 Wireless-AC dual-band adapter for my workstation that is in the corner office room, a floor up, and noticed more bars and a decrease in lag when streaming video online video and when gaming. After installing this setup, I was able to remove the range extender I was using to provide coverage to this workstation. So, I am very happy with this router. It seems to do what it said it can do and the Smart Wi-Fi app makes it really easy to administer. Yes there is an app for this and it's pretty cool!

    Router for many devices

We were in the market for a new router as we have 3 teenage kids with multiple friends stopping over. With our old router the internet would constantly slow down or drop from 2 many users trying to use the wifi. Since we have upgraded to Linksys Max Stream we have not had any issues! We have the router in the basement and have no problem connection our smart T.V.s on the 2nd floor of the house.

My Wi-Fi has been slow for awhile and I blamed it on my service. I recently changed to a better service and still no good Wi-Fi. I went to Best buy and asked if it may be my router. I had a dual band and the employee suggested this router and so I went on his suggestion and wow am I glad. I am able to stream better and cannot find a reason not to give this a 5 star review. Works great

Back with Linksys after a Long Hiatus

I've had a series of ASUS home WiFi routers. Each satisfied my needs until I updated to the latest firmware rev for the AC3100. The update broke many of my connections and made others unreliable. After spending a lot of time troubleshooting connections & performance, I decided to make a change. I purchased the Linksys AC2200 from my local Best Buy. It was on sale and the specs shown on the box and reviewed I'd read indicated it's of high quality. Despite only having this installed and supporting my home network for a few weeks, I'm totally satisfied. Connections previously broken are no longer; inconsistent & unreliable connections are now rock-solid. Speedtests indicate download speeds exceeding 240Mb down (I have Comcast blast service) and just shy of 15 up (I have Comcast blast service. This router is highly recommended.

LinkSys keeps up with software / internet upgrades

I have owned 2 other LinkSys routers in the past. Every time I get a new one, LinkSys keeps up with the software / internet upgrades. Yes, overtime, older models do not have the capacity with today's technology. What I like about LinkSys is they keep their prices down -- not so extravagant in price. Great selection of their routers. I purchased my new router and was a little "iffy" of the installation. To my surprise, the new router used the same application that was on my computer and upgraded the menu and options. Much nicer format. Very easy to set up -- just a couple of changes. Nothing major or time-wasting. I did have to change the router settings on my cell or computer and that was a breeze. LinkSys is a great company and I think they look out for us customers. Thank you LinkSys for making products easy to set up, use and work flawlessly.

    AC2200/EA8300 is a Strong Performer

I hooked up My new Linksys AC2200/EA8300 router easily this time. Maybe cause I knew what I was doing this time around. It's hard for me to quantify performance of a router other than how far and does it stream well at a distance. I can also check the wifi app on my phone to check signal strength. I have a ranch house with a basement and it reaches all corners of my house with ease. I like listening to music while I'm cutting grass more than 100' from my house. No hiccups or skips I can report. The Linksys AC2200 is a strong performer as far as I can tell, plus it looks kinda cool. I might also get one for my folks as they have coverage issues at their house. I have received this Linksys AC2200 as a review unit for for free for my honest opinion. I would not have any difficulty recommending this to anyone.

I bought this router for half the original price. Setting up was a breeze, even your grandma can set it up. Internet connection is definitely much faster from 22 mbps to 29 mbps. Yes that's all I need, I got the att basic at 24 mbps :)I haven't tried the range yet, but it works just as fast when I'm out the backyard.

My last Linksys was eight years old, so I decided to stay with the same company. Set up was easy once I read the directions ;-) again (after talking to support--whoops). The multiple channels are nice for a family, the reach of the broadband is greater, and the homepage for managing your network is great.

Needed a new and better router. This was a simple choice. I needed a new wireless AC router to replace my apple airport extreme base station. The new router provides a stronger and stable connection. It was easy to set-up. I used the Linksys app to easily set-up and secure my network.

I was provided an evaluation router for my unbiased review. This review is SO easy to give! I never had a router that was so easy to setup. It took about 10 minutes most from opening the box to having my personalized network setup. And the speed! The dual 5.5 GHZ bands really work together to power the setting along. I'm supposed to be rated for 50 Mbps with my service provider and with my previous Linksys router I would usually achieve this. With this router I am hitting between 65 -75 Mbps consistently. The only difference is the new router. I would suggest anyone get this router, especially if you have any connection problems in your situation.
