Very good performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on a Black Friday deal to replace the cable company’s gateway/router combo. So far the performance is much better in my home with higher speeds. The interface for setup is much easier than others I have experienced and Linksys made first time setup a breeze with automatic redirect in the browser connected by Ethernet. The range is very good as well.

Great router with easy setup!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased as an upgrade to my older Linksys E4200 that was maxing out 40Mbps down. With the upgraded Linksys AC2200 I'm easily reaching 100Mbps. I also noticed a big increase in the range of the signal. If you are in the market for a new router, this is a good option! The price point, functionality and the quick easy setup make this a 5 star purchase.

Excellent for medium household
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prior to using this product, i am using Linksys WRT 1900ACS. This particular model is very good. Migrating the Linksys EA8300 from the said model was so easy, that is because the web based administation program (Linksys Smart Wi-Fi) is so easy to use and this is one factor that i liked in LinkSys in general. You can also use your smartphone to control you wifi remotely. i also liked the Parental control because i can manage or control the time or hours my kids usage of the internet plus you can block certain websites that is not appropriate to their age. This model the EA8300, i think is much superior compared to the WRT1900 because it offer TRI-BAND, that means it has two 5-GHz and one 2.4 Ghz which offers faster speed on mobile devices and can serve as much as 15-20 devices without any noticeable degradation of speed. my devices consist of 4 tablets, 5 smartphones, 2 desktop, 2 laptop and 1 TFC video streaming box. i am confident to say that it can handle all my devices without any problem. this review unit was given to me for review by Linksys - Best Buy friends, i am giving this a 5 star because it was given to me. this is my honest opinion. i hope this will help some people in deciding whether they will buy this product or this product will best fit for them.

Easy setup to modem.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initial setup was a breeze if you know what you are doing. Speeds are better than they were with the other router we had. Full coverage anywhere in the house. Just be sure to extend the short DHCP lease time, by default it is 1 day. This timer is in minutes only so set it to 10080 for 1 week instead of the default 1440 minutes for 1 day.

Simple and Efficient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was extremely easy to set up. Since installing at my house we have had excellent coverage. I am extremely satisfied with this product. I saw a few cheaper models (such as the AC1200 or AC1900) but it was worth a few extra dollars to get the AC2200.

Wow!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I struggled with a provider supplied router for 9 mo. because I was told a better router would not help. I bought this router because of the sale price, but if I would have known the service improvement I would have done it sooner. Better signal strength, faster download s better streaming, easy setup. Can"t go wrong!

Excellent all around coverage for 2 story 1900 ft
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have lived in my home for 14 year; original build. I have been through many a router over the last several years, always having trouble in one corner of the house to get any signal. In the past year I have tried the mesh routers, which worked OK, but the combination of lack of internet ports for my media server as well as still not getting the greatest signal became a pain. Spoke to BB sales folks and they recommended this router. Now I’ve had similar routers in the past and they were complete disasters. Not with this one. I have 100 mbps internet, and with this router (even in that dead spot) the coverage has been excellent. In the past the most decent router has been Apple’s final version of their Extreme; this one is superior in every way. Downstairs I have been actually getting around 118 mbps; up in the dead zone (son’s corner bedroom, where my wife and me spend many an hour trying to get him to sleep) average speed is right around 100 mbps. For those gamers out there with much more faster speeds, you will not be disappointed. I would highly recommend it (oh, set up isn’t terribly painful, and I haven’t needed to go back into the setting since).

Excellent Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had Linksys routers for as long as I can remember and I honestly wouldn't consider another brand. I use the Linksys Velop whole home mesh system at home and had a friend that needed my help in replacing their old router. I bought them the AC2200 and said I'd set it up for them as they are a retired couple. This router was so easy to setup that they honestly could have likely done the setup themselves. The signal strength of this router is really good given the four antennas on the router and solved issues they were having with the signal from their older router. The router is also fast enough to support watching HD and UHD movies. Another feature that is often overlooked is the network ports on the back of the router and the ability to attach network storage via USB. If you're looking for a good single router solution and not a mesh network then I would definitely recommend looking at the AC2200.

Great range, Easy Set-up, Nice controls
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this unit from Linksys in exchange for my honest review. I replaced my existing dual band router in about 10 minutes by setting up this unit with the same SSID name and everything in my house was up and humming without a blip. The kids didn't even notice. I immediately noticed the range had increased allowing me to run on the 5GHz channels in the far reaches of my house pulling 30+ Mbps via FIOS. Previously I would run at 2.4GHz in those rooms of the house. It was also very trivial to set up the router to prioritize MAC addresses which I did for my chromecast to keep my kids from hogging the bandwidth :-) The Linksys app is very useful for setting the guest account passwords for visitors as well as doing the more sophisticated controls. Finally, the unit is even a little smaller than my previous router.

EA8300 Test Drive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to the tri-band max stream AC2200 MU-MIMO, (multi user-multi input multi output) router from an older WRT54G2, I think it was one of the first routers ever made, haha, although it has served me well. The set up on the new Max-Stream was a piece of cake, even for a non tech guy like me, followed the quick start guide, I did have to restart everything once, router, modem, and computer, in backwards order as indicated in the guide, after that everything was smooth. As far as performance, and I stream a lot of movies on roku, youtube cast, etc. I did notice a significantly smoother stream. One note, I think my ISP has the internet kinda throttled down, I live in an apartment and the internet is part of the apartment package, so not real sure if I'm getting the full performance out of the router itself. All in all, a definite upgrade, visibly noticeable performance, simple setup, decent looking design, and I didn't have to call tech support to get online! Highly recommended! Although a non biased review, I did receive this router for a test and honest review through a partnership with the Linksys BestBuy Friends program.

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup. Was looking at this router for awhile but didn’t want to spend the money. So when it went on sale I got it. It would be worth it even without the sale. Fast downloads and streaming is great.

WOW
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I intentionally waited few days before reviewing this router. I work from home, have 8 desktops/laptops, 2 printers, security cameras, various tablets and smart phones, smart TVs and devices, netflix, Amazon Instant Video, etc. My needs are more than most, but still not necessarily so extensive that I would need this router. But, I got a good price, and decided to splurge. I've not been disappointed. This router replaced a Belkin RT68U that was about 3 years old, so I do typically purchase high end routers. Setup: Simple and quick. I configured my Network name and passwords exactly as in my old router, and all my devices connected without the need to re-configure. This was a huge time-saver. Setup time took less than 20 minutes, including connecting cables, going through the setup, and updating firmware. Speed: I have Xfinity (Comcast). I did a speedtest (wired and unwired). Download speed went 80 Mbps to 180 Mbps and upload speeds from 25 to 40 Mbps. These speeds can vary and I only ran the test once. Range: Awesome. No other word for it. Placed the router middle floor, same location as the old Belkin. I now have 5 bars on top floor and basement and 4 bars in far corners of both. I have a fairly large yard (3/4 acre) and I'm connected all over the yard. Features I like: Linksys Smart Wifi allows connection to the router from anywhere and the ability to setup alerts. Static IP: reserve an IP for a device (like security cameras, printers, etc.) by simply clicking on the device in the network map and selecting reserve DHCP address. I can't say I've used many of the advanced features I payed for, but I'll get there. I hope this review was helpful.

Easy & efficient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this router on pre-Black Friday spencils - been searching for one that would meet my needs and not be outrageously priced. This being on sale for $99 was just the ticket! Came quickly. I was surprised how big it was, I knew it would look like a spaceship, but it really is about a foot wide. The setup was super easy, and our devices are running super smoothly. I work from home and often my video feeds would get delayed or shut down if other devices accessed the WiFi - now all our handhelds devices run on 5GHz and my desktop is on the 2.4 plus I had to option to prioritize my desktop over other items. No disconnect now! We have only connected and ran 6 things (all streaming live content, video feeds, or Netflix at the same time), but there was no delay and seemed quicker than one device on the old router. The range doesn’t seem anything out of the ordinary, but we have a small home so the reach wasn’t a huge concern. Overall - so far so good!

Easy to setup, fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was extremely easy to setup. Compared to my old wireless G router, the speed is night and day. It's been running about 2 weeks and has been extremely reliable.

Very Happy with it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought to replace my NETGEAR - Dual-Band AC1750 Router because the Internal Modem only met minimum requirements for Spectrum Cable. Switched to Free modem provided by Spectrum and bought this router because it had many great reviews and good price made even better with the $70.00 off sale price. The router has stronger signal and better range, Probably due to the multiple antennas. It was very easy to set up and I especially like that you can set all three bands to a single SID and the devices will choose the best one and change as necessary. I like that I can set priority (QOS) to three devices, but wish it was higher. You can also set QOS to an application for something like gaming to give that device top priority over all other networked devices. The network map is really nice and helpful in identifying what devices are on your network. It has built in firewall and parental controls. Can even set hours of access when you want internet restricted per device. The WiFi calling (from Cell phones) is much improved over my old router, no longer seems to be dropping calls.

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this new router after I was not getting the speeds from my internet service provider. The ISP replaced their modem and I was getting the posted speeds but my router was knocking off about 15Mbps. I had a Linksys EA3650. I also had a Cisco RE1000 Range Extender on the network to help improve coverage. After setting up the new Max-Stream, the signal throughout the house was very strong and I no longer required the Range Extender. I consistently get very close to or above the network speed I am paying for. The router was very easy to setup especially since I went from a Linksys to another Linksys.

Simply Amazing!

BEST ROUTER SO FAR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a powerhouse of a router. The signal I'm getting now is 10x better from the same placement of my old router. I can move anywhere in my house an have 100mbs from the 5ghz band. 2000sq house. My connection would cut off from the weak signal from my old router i had to pick up a new one so i looked around a found this beast on sale, so i decided to pick one up to test it out and could not be happier with my purchase.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My existing router kept dropping internet coverage for my guests and sometimes on my own smart phone. It was about three years old so I checked around on line to read different reviews on newer models. I am certainly no expert on home Wi-Fi so needed all the help I could get. After some comparisons on different web sites, I decided on the Lynksys AC2200 tri-band and am completely happy with the speed and overall performance of this router. It is keeping a strong signal all over my two story brick home with plaster and lath walls.
