This router has a strong wifi signal that should cover most homes with ease. Delivers the same fast signal across all devices. Very easy to set up too!

The bandwidth/throughput on this router is a major upgrade from my old one. It seems to handle the desktop, the laptop, the Xbox, and several phones simultaneously without any bottlenecks. It does this by load balancing requests off multiple bands. Very effective. Easy user interface after you log into the router. I also like that it has a dedicated power switch. I don't have to unplug the power cord to turn it off. You can program dedicated QoS packet scheduling on the device to prioritize streaming media or console traffic over others. I have used Linksys routers in the past, and they were fine, but none were ever this powerful. Only issue is that it throws off such a strong signal that is causes a slight rhythmic clicking noise in my attached desktop speakers from about two feet away.

There's THE Linksys routers and the rest.

Most people I know complain with their internet providers for not getting the speed hired. I came to the conclusion most fail to update their equipment and sometimes, even when they do, don't pay close attention to do it accordingly. So, first things first, I'll start with the most important features Linksys AC2200 offers: * It keeps your speed constant, REGARDLESS whether there are other devices connected to your network. So, if you have a 50Mbps internet, you'll have that speed on your tablet, phone, pc or laptop and TV(s) for EACH of them!!! That on its own should be enough reason to buy it. I had another secondary reason which was a U$99,99 special sale at BB. * The range of this device is crazy!! I get internet in my whole house at almost 200ft away (nearly 60m)!! * Setting up this router is a total breeze!! * You have two guest networks, with DIFFERENT PASSWORDS, so you don't have to reveal your passaword. * You can choose contents not to be chosen * You can let your VPN through * You can limit the number of people on each network * 2.4GHz and 5GHz and both combined * Speed tester built in Now, for the ones who are not careful enough: You MUST be careful during installation and find out what kind of cable you are using to connect your devices. For instance, if your TV is 4K and is close to your Linksys AC2200, you should consider a cable connection for the best result desired! In order to achieve that make sure you have cable CAT6 or above!! Yes! That 4 or more year-old cable is no good anymore. The Cable which comes in the box is a CAT5e (which is the minimum required for 4K transmission. I suggest you purchase (starting U$7.99) a CAT6 cable (I use CAT6e), one for my TV and another one for my receiver (Denon). You will experience a much more fluid transmission, much less buffers, if any (I don't get any with a 30Mbps internet plan). Kudos to Linksys, always taking real good care of keeping everything and all of us smart people well and fastly connected!! Linksys AC2200, just kewl!

I would have given it a 5 star but unhappy with the guest access. This router does not offer the ability to secure the guest access with WPA/WPA2 security and option not to broadcast SSID. Other basic routers offer secured guest access network. I will return and purchase another router.

Works with my fiber optic internet service. However, I get better signal from some of my neighbors' WIFI than I do my own. The signal to my garage is weak from my WIFI but strong from my neighbor across the street and down a house which is over four times the distance from my router.

I bought this linksys router due to the need for wider range and more control over guest usage. The reason for the 3 stars is because I have experienced wifi failure many many times. I have to restart the unit until I have signals again. I am still trying to make a decision on whether I should purchase another router as backup. One pro is the linksys app that allows easy controls on who are allow to use your network and how you would like bands to work. It is also able to reach a longer range covering the entirely of my 750 square footage apartment and beyond into the hallway.
