My laptops upstairs have seen great improvements, but my smart tv upstairs isn't getting enough bandwidth for some apps to work properly. I even went into the router, and set the tv as it's #1 priority. Even the tv in the same room as the router (first floor) isn't getting enough bandwidth. I don't get it. Possibly just a weird fluke, but overall it's a good router, with some cool features even a layperson can use.

Since I often work from home it was imperative to have working equipment that connects to the internet. I selected the Linksys router based on the reviews and price. I've used a Linksys router in the past that was a workhorse until it couldn't connect to some of my Apple devices because of the newer technology. Anyway, my issue with this router is it keeps dropping my connection to work especially when I'm using Skype. The Asus rarely, if ever, dropped my connections, Skype or otherwise. I may need to purchase another Asus router even though I know it will have a shorter operational life than the Linksys.

This is a very odd behavior for the Linksys router. You can reset and configure the router again to try and fix this. Also, make sure that the firmware of the router is up to date.
