Great for our new home. We forgot our other at our old house so we needed to replace ours. Only down side was poor instructions about if the internet light is supposed to change colors once its working right or go off… so if you have it correctly set up the internet light will be off and only show the logo light , just to let you know.

Was stuck in the N speed for the longest time. I can't say that I see that much of a difference in speeds but the speed are lighting fast within the network and to our tv. The router allows for multiple user with no slow downs and blocking the internet from the kids is a huge plus. Having had any drop connections, fingers crosseds.

Save for our internet provider, we are very happy with this upgrade. Like most homes, we have multiple devices (couple of iPads, cell phones, Amazon FireStick, computers and AppleTV), When we would have a browser window open on a computer, a handheld device and the TV, things would hang. Not so much anymore.

Having a need to replace an old router, I decided on the Linksys Max-Stream AC2200 Trim-Band Wi-Fi Router. During the first 2 days of owning the unit, the connection dropped 8 times. It had to be reset every time it was disconnected. On the third day, I called Linksys's technical service to determine if the unit might be faulty. I was instructed to do a factory reset and start the setup all over. I went through 2 days without a dropped connection. Then, the connection drops started again, except it became worse than before, leaving me without Internet connection for hours at a time. Customer service is top-notch, however. The representative was professional, knowledgeable, and did the follow-ups as promised. Perhaps, the unit I purchased was a lemon, but I didn't take a chance and lose further work time.
