Had this a year now, works fantastic with all my devices. Excellent quality video streaming on my 4K tv with no freezes. I also have connected smart lighting, Ring video doorbell, phones & tablets. No problems on any. Would definitely buy again!

It has been 6 months I bought the router. So far I have great reception from my formal living room to my study room. Before I bought this router, my existing router is weak and sometimes no reception.

Not much of a tech guy, I was going to go for the model below this one but with it being on sale at the time I just decided to spend the extra money. It has improved all internet connections throughout my house and outside. I am very happy that I bought this product.

Lasted 3 years and died... While it worked, it worked well. I bought it for a smart home setup. I didn't like the local device map interface. It was painful to navigate and had a limited memory for storing device names.

Not a good choice for networking

After several chats and phone calls, I have found out that you can not connect this router to the same subnet of an existing network. For instance, if you are presently using 192.168.1.1 on your ISP's modem and want to connect the EA8300 - it must be set to a different subnet such as 10.255.1.1 (as an example). You can set it up in Bridge Mode on the same network but you loose all the functionality of the EA8300 that you paid for. No FTP, can't access the USB storage, etc. Since when did the rules change that say you can't have another router on the same network? Linksys has a big bug that they need to fix. They do a conflict check on the address and even though it has a different address it will not allow being on the same subnet as your other router. If my Verizon router is set to 192.168.1.1, I should be able to set the address of 192.168.1.2 on my EA8300. But you can't and all the techs say is "Sorry your expectations are not met". I'll be returning this and getting a NetGear as I should have in the first place.

As I just recently purchased and connected this router (about a month ago), I can't, in good faith, give it 5 stars...too soon to tell. However I've had no problem with it and it was fairly straight forward to connect and seems to consistently "beam-out" 190-195 mbps of the 200mbps I subscribe to from the ISP.....again, so far so good.

This router is located in one corner of our house, and internet speed at the opposite corner of the house is fine. However, we replaced an older router with this one in a house we recently moved from. We really noticed no difference after the change.; internet speed lagged in the back and upstairs portions of the house.

This is a very good router. They keep getting better each time I buy a new one. Only problem I had was with tech support. I had a question and called them and got no help. Very hard to understand rep. I solved it by using online help from Web site

Great replacement with 5Ghz wireless however was expecting the wireless to travel a longer distance (it's the same or less wireless distance than my old router which is 5 years old). Also this device is missing advance configuration features. Not sure if I will be keeping it as I believe the Amped products have a lot more advanced feature settings.

      Hi, John5586,

Tweaking the wireless channel and adjusting the wireless antennas could help in optimizing the coverage of the router. As for the other configuration features, tell us about them via [email protected] so that we can have our Escalation Engineers check it. Please indicate your phone number and the link to this post in your message for your reference.
