Amazing!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just amazing wifi signal, I have it upstairs in my office and it reaches all the way downstairs and out to my garage. We bought this router so that we could stream music in the garage and the smart t.v's we have throughout the house could stream without an issue and I have to say it's been fantastic. We haven't had any issues. I love it!

Outstanding Whole Home Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced an excellent Asus router that was a little past it's prime, it kept dropping my 2.4 connection. I went with this router based on what the sales associate was telling me about it. It did not disappoint. Outstanding whole home coverage in a 5000 square foot house. I have it centrally located on the first floor and it reaches the basement and upstairs no problem. Even my outdoor wifi cameras have no problem picking up the signal. The ability to aim the antennas is very helpful and does make quite a difference depending on how the array is set up.

Get's the job done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was using an old AC1750 router for four roommates sharing a house together. Purchased this (along with upgrading our plan with our internet provider) and we drastically improved performance throughout the house.

Overkill maybe but worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 15+ devices connecting to this router and still have had no issues streaming wireless 4k to 2 tvs at a time. I had the Xfinity setup before and couldn't even get Facebook on a tablet. I'm happy with it

Excellent Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic product. No geek/tech skills necessary with this product. My home has 25+ connected products from smart 4K TV's to ipads and tablets and PC's, phones, and Echo dots. Average 10 to 15 connectections at any given time. This router is a beast! So far not a single dropped wifi connection and zero buffering when streaming. For the Tech people, you wont have the myriad of setting / tweaking possibilities you'll get with say...an ASUS router. For everyone else, most people, the connection settings are simple and straightforward, easy to use. The browser login for additional settings also very easy to use. Some concerns about the size of the router noted in other reviews. I don't have a problem with this. It sits 9 inches deep, 12 inches across, and 6.5 inches table to the top of the antenna. (antenna to antenna measurements) HIghly recommended for the connected home.

Excellent if you exchange a lot of data
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m back up a lot of stuff in my house. Some of them from wireless sources, and some of them are from iron sources. The extra bandwidth is great for the wireless sources. The gigabit speed from the wire and sources are very helpful, too. I think the ability to prioritize which devices in your home get the most Bandwidth is wonderful. It’s nice to be able to say that your Apple TV using Netflix should get priority over your son’s Kendall playing Angry Birds or whatever it is he’s doing this week. For that matter, it’s nice to be able to see the Apple TV in the bedroom has priority over the Apple TV in the living room because I’m watching it. All of the tools to come with the app are great. It makes setting up guest network and all of the different bands into one single network a breeze. My only complaint is in the set up manual. The walk-through on it is not perfectly clear that you need to leave your computer wired and connected throughout the set up process. I did find many people online that had the same problem, and I think that means it’s a failure in the manual. The range on it is pretty good. It is an outstanding, but it is as expected. The throughput is at least as expected.

Excellent router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router to replace the rental from the cable company. This is my 3rd Linksys router in the past 15 years and never had any problems with any of them and hope the trend continues with this one. The house is 3200 sq. ft. and I was experiencing dead spots with the cell phones, when streaming videos the TV would freeze to buffer, if multiple devices were on the Internet the functionality would come to a crawl. The installation and setting up was a breeze, and it was up and running in 15 minutes. I connected 3 TVs, 3 iPods, 3 iPhones, 3 iPads, one desktop pc, 2 laptops, 1 Apple TV to the router. When I ran our normal load of 2 video streaming on TVs, the desktop, the laptop and the 2 iPads the router did not even flinch. Speed tests that I ran consistently showed between 92.1 Mbps download and 89.7 Mbps upload mid point away from the router. ( I have 100 Mbps service) the furthest point of the house the wifi signal dropped by only 3 points which is excellent considering the load. Amazingly our phones which always displayed 2 bars previously showed a jump to 3 or 4 bars and no more dropped calls. One side note is that the house was built in 2017 and is insulated like a submarine but the router delivered flawlessly. In summary it is an excellent tri-band router and would be very happy if you decide to purchase it. The price might be higher for some but I believe you get what you paid for.

Definitely Notice the Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got as an upgrade for our Apple Airport Express. The wifi is definitely speedier. We run 3 TVs on Netflix or some other internet based service at all times, plus 3 phones, 3 iPads two laptops, and our home security system (with IP cameras and also internet connected IP devices). We used to have minor lag and stalling but with this router a noteable improvement.

Looks meaner than it performs...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from an Apple Airport Extreme, I'm very very picky about ease of use and ultimate performance. This router is just "ok" in terms of range...disappointing. Really great software though and allows a nice graphic interface to dial in settings. I'm sure where this router will out-performant others, though, is with multiple devices running a lot of bandwidth. But, cynically speaking, I really WONDER if those antennas are just for SHOW. After all, the AEBS had "Beam Focusing" yet had a sneak, sexy case with NO antennas...something I deeply miss!!

Posted .Hi, Gizmo,
There are a few steps that could optimize the range of the router. You can start with repositioning the antennas or adjusting its wireless settings. To assist you with the process, please email us your phone number and the link to this post at [email protected] so that our Escalation Engineers can contact you.

We have a 3,100sqft home and this beast reaches all the extremes. Finally coverage for my whole house
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old router could not handle moving to a 3400 square foot house, so it was time for an upgrade. This Max Stream router was really easy to set up and configure and now I can stream movies and TV shows to literally any of my 5 TVs throughout the house with no issue, really happy with this purchase.

Really boosted signal and speed at my house.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had several devices that supported 802.11ac, but did not have an 802.11ac router in my house. One of these PCs was struggling with a very weak signal... so I thought I could purchase this router and with the help of 802.11ac I would get a better signal. After installation I get much faster throughput to the Internet and the signal strength is easily "3x" what it used to be in the second floor of the house. I'm very happy with this unit.

Good Performing Router but not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router to replace my aging router which could not handle the demands of multiple games systems, TV's, video streams, and phones that are becoming standard in most households. Unfortunately my experience got off to a rocky start with the first unit rebooting almost constantly from the moment I plugged it in. After several hours with Linksys tech support it was decided that the unit was probably bad. So far the replacement unit has been performing fine after updating to the latest firmware.
