Purchased and it worked great for 6 weeks and then stopped. Reset router and it will not connect, best buy will not exchange without receipt... Stuck with a $70 paper weight

Set it up and was very hopeful, but it doesn't extend the signal at all. I plan to return it.

Works great. Simple to use, plug in the wall, activate on the computer by clicking on the icon. No inputting codes or remembering passwords. Have it in a hallway to strengthen the signal from a back room, where the computer is, to the living room tv and tablet use.

Took me 5 minutes to set this up on my ipad. Had a really weak to no signal in my bedroom. This thing boosted it up to a full signal! Extremely happy with this product. Does exactly as described. Not sure how or why it doesn't work for some people but highly recommend it.

I really wished this thing would have worked for me. This was a second attempt with a Linksys Extender in three months. I was happy with the price and I liked the look of the device. I had to plug it in an outlet that was visible from within the house. We have a "dead zone" outside the house - literally at our outdoor table on our pool deck (and nowhere else). After installation, I do a speedtest on our iPhone 5s at the outdoor table. Getting good speeds. Practically the same speed when I do another speedtest with the phone right by the Extender. Then I go to our iPad Mini with Retina Display (released in the fall of 2013) to start using it. No internet. I unplug the Extender and the iPad reconnects to the home wifi. Plug the Extender back in and back to no wifi. I say this was a second attempt because I tried a Linksys N600 with our old router (a Linksys product). That Extender too couldn’t connect to our iPad. We recently replaced that old router with the Linksys EA6900 AC1900. My thinking was this new Extender would work with our iPad. I was wrong. Also, setup for this Extender didn’t work via the CD installation way or using WPS. CRAZY. During installation, it asks for the router’s 2.4GHz password. Couldn’t setup afterwards. Then, I don’t what made me try this but the 2.4GHz band on the router was set for “Mixed” (N and G networks). I change it to “N-Only.” Reset the Extender for a third time, go through setup again and it works!!! BUT, by doing this, I’ve knocked off any G devices we have around the house – our PRINTER, Wii console and an older iPod. The plus-side of the Linksys Extender is that the Extender is NOT setting up another network in the home/business. It uses the same SSID and password as your router, a BIG plus… Unfortunately, I’m returning the device... looking for another brand...

I needed to get better reception in an upstairs bedroom. The unit is compact and unobtrusive. It does a good job and my wireless devices now have full bars.

Once working it was great. Uploaded a video to Facebook while near the pool in seconds, which is the reason I bought it. The setup disc and download from Linksys site are not compatible with the latest OS X (10.9.4) on Macs, so be prepared to go to their website and get assistance to manually set it up. What should have took only a couple minutes ended up taking more than 1/2 an hour to do. I could understand the supplied disk not being up-to-date, but the website should have the proper setup available for an easy download considering Apple released this OS for a while now.

The extender rates 5 stars +. Provides strong, steady singal to dead spots. Deduct one star for instructions & one star for technical support both are useless. Once purchased Google install Linksys re3000w English.

It works without issue. Its very easy to setup.I recommend this purchase.

Bought this to extend our signal strength on the other end of our house. We have a small 1400 sq. ft. house. We were able to get it set up and get signal initially and everything seemed fine. After about 10 minutes all connectivity for all devices would fail. After 4 hours of resets, troubleshooting and everything we could think of was tried we gave up. Finally gave up and just moved the router to the center of the house and settled for average speed all over. Completely dissatisfied.

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY, Now we have a good signal thruout the house. Very easy install. This model performs well.

Bought this as I was having internet issues, but then they cleared up so I haven't had a chance to use this yet. I'll update my review once I try it out.

I spent three evenings attempting to activate and set up. I even exchanged at the advice of technical support. This product is not compatible with router of other brands. Do not purchase this. It has been a total headache. Technical support has been clueless as well.

We have a Cisco wireless router upstairs, but couldn't get a strong signal in our downstairs bedroom. Sometimes there was no signal. Plugged this in downstairs, used the disk in an old Dell laptop connected to our wifi and had it going in 5 min. Now the signal is consistent throughout the house. Great product.

Initially used enclosed CD for install. Auto search for range extender knocked out Wi-Fi. Repeatedly. Used Linksys help to find manual install. Seemed to work but when I plugged in extender Wi-Fi signal actually was worse. Moved extender to a different location. Voila, worked like a charm. VERY important to locate extender where it has as close to "line of sight" with router.

I purchased the range extender for the opposite side of my house and it seems to be working well!

Sadly, It wasn't very plug and play. I plugged it in. It recognized My wifi in order to extend it but NOT A SINGLE COMPUTER in the whole house recognized it to receive the extended signals. Sad, had to immediately return it.

Luckily I know a thing or two about IT stuff and was able to set up the extender when attempts to use the software failed miserably. Now passed my return date, I am stuck with an extender that, yes, extends the wifi connection, but also drops the signal multiple times a day in areas with no original issue with a signal. I had better internet reliability without an extender than I do with a higher signal strength. What a waste of money!
