It's rare to be online for a continuous hour. To reconnect I need to unplug the device and put it back into the computer. To be fair I have not done a thorough root cause analysis and the infrastructure is terrible. It is multiple really bad computers (so low grade they don't have built in WiFi. No I didn't buy them.) all connected through a WiFi hot spot. That said a laptop with built in WiFi has no problem with the setup.

The Wi-Fi speed that you are getting with the adapter will still depend on the wireless settings of your router, signal interference and distance of the device. You can try to adjust the channel width of your router to allow more bandwidth for your devices.

Great Wireless USB adapter

Plugged this in and installed driver for Windows 10 and works perfect. Has a small profile which is perfect because anything larger they get easily broken. The best it supports AC which is the fastest Wireless signal. It also works with older routers if you still have one. If your router isn't AC it's time to upgrade because it's made specially for mobile devices and of course laptops. It can be used with a desktop as well.
