      Hi, Ryan,

The Linksys WUSB6100M data rate is up to 433 Mbps for 5 GHz and up to 150 Mbps for 2.4 GHz. For isolation, please make sure to disable the Wi-Fi adapter of your computer and connect to Wi-Fi using the Linksys WUSB6100M. You may also try to power cycle the unit and update us on how it goes so we can have it checked with our Escalation Engineers at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact info and the link of this review, for our reference.

Easy installation. Very good product once working. Support 2.4g & 5g speed. Problem is desktop needs to be restarted all the time. Sometimes twice before connecting to wifi. It is being used in a Windows7 Professional with Spectrum 300 Mbps connection.

Not being able to call Best Buy stores directly is incredibly stupid. Purchasing the 1yr tech support and being forced to sign up for automatic recurring renewal is just not right, It cannot be cancelled in store, I now have to call the national number and go through the annoying process of dealing with the automated system before I get to speak to a human being to try and cancel the renewal. Why can't I get this done in store dealing in person>

      Hi, Boom,

Aside from the Windows 10, this adapter also supports Windows 8.1 and 7 versions. If your computer is running on one of those systems, proceed with intalling the drivers downloadable from this link: http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=198580

Advertises up to 600 mbps. My fiber optic internet speed is 1000. Desktop computer connected via ethernet runs around 990mbps on average. My Samsung S-9 Plus shows an average wifi speed of around 400mbps. My laptop using this adapter runs around 250mbps. As a test I connected the laptop via ethernet and it ran 860mbps, so I know the laptop is capable of handling the faster speed. Although 250mbps is not bad, I was hoping to achieve at least somewhere close to 600 or at least as much as my phone is getting.

      Hi, DBush,

The Linksys WUSB6100M data rate is up to 433 Mbps for 5 GHz and up to 150 Mbps for 2.4 GHz. Moreover, several factors may have caused the limited speed such as physical obstructions and wireless interference. Which band are you connected to? Have you tried moving closer to the router? How about updating the adapter’s driver? Please get in touch with us at [email protected] so our Escalation Engineers can assist you. This uses custom Linksys drivers that even the latest Windows 10 doesn't have. You will need an existing internet connection BEFORE you plug this in and let Windows update find the drivers. Compare this to all the other adapters I own like J5Create or Asus, which are plug-n-play because they use generic network drivers that most systems already have pre-installed.

      Hi buynlarge,

We understand your sentiment as having an existing Internet connection is a prerequisite if you prefer downloading the latest drivers. Should you be offline during the setup, we can use the Setup Software inside the setup CD that comes with the Linksys WUSB600M. Nonetheless, feel free to email us at LinksysCares@linksys.com along with the link to this post and your contact details for assistance.

      Hi BluRay,

If you’re using a Wireless-AC router, we suggest that you set the network mode to Wireless-AC only to get the optimum wireless connection. Also, it is recommended to disable your computers built-in adapter to prevent connection issues.

If the suggested solutions made no changes, please reach out to us at [email protected] with your contact details and the link to this review.

Maybe if i was closer to my router it wouldn’t drop my wifi, but at that point just connect an ethernet cable.
