This Linksys range extender is top notch. I connected it wirelessly to my Linksys Router without any problems by just pressing the WPS button on the router and extender. There is no other setup needed as it is simply just to eliminate dead zones in your house or place of business. I put the extender in my garage which is not connected to my house and previously when I had half bars I now have full bars and full high speed internet. The extender also has Ethernet ports if you want to connect your router to the extender that way and use it as an access point rather than just an extension of your existing wifi. Overall it functions as it should and gives me coverage over areas that were weak and I am greatly satisfied.

Used for console gaming and streaming. I now get betterupload, download and latency than my daughter who is in the room next to the router. Definitely recommend

I am traveling around the US in an RV. Most RV parks have wifi, but the signal is not very good, unless you are close to one of their antenna, this wifi extender works very well !

I have had spotty to no coverage in my home from my old router. Speed was also bad with a lot of buffering even closeby. This device was integral in total coverage in our house.

The extender does give a boost of w-fi capability to the wifi compatibility software at the home

Not only do I use this for converting my albums and singles to digital for listening on the go, I really love listening to my albums through my sound system again! Great product!

It did work as intended, but I returned it and went with the orbi mesh set up and couldn't be happier.

Bought with the router, provides a solid and fast connection throughout my midsize condo, no complaints and was a good investment and a good price.

Had the extender operational for about a week, but it lost connection to the router. 3 hours of troubleshooting with Linksys, including new firmware update, and nothing ... an early life failure! Initial setup was a breeze ... questioning an exact replacement.

Great Wifi extender. Definitely read instructions and set up using a computer after you do the fast set up. It lets you fine tune things a bit better.

Has not given us what we were told to expect in a WiFi extender. Not totally disappointed but not totally happy either.

I needed extra extender due to long ranch style home with many walls in between which did not allow for signals in second half of home with prior extender

Seems to basically do what you're needing to do: extend the lackluster Wifi connection into the farthest depths of your home away from the net router.

Was not expecting to really gain strength and performance. I was surprised at the distance considering my home is made out of concrete blocks.

East to set up for the most part. Works best with Ethernet cable.

Does everything it says. I installed this router at my hotel because my rooms were not getting internet connection and installed this and works perfect.
