Extend your next-gen AC Wi-Fi connection in hard-to-reach locations of your home such as the backyard, garage, or bedroom, so you can get blazing AC3000 Wi-Fi speeds to Smart TVs, Blu-ray Disc players, iPads, tablets, laptops, and smartphones. Powerful amplifiers and four high-performance external antennas deliver maximum power and range, allowing everyone in your family to enjoy 4K/HD movie streaming, simultaneous online gaming, social media, and more.
The Max-Stream RE9000 tri-band range extender helps you get the most out of your home Wi-Fi by delivering faster speeds than dual-band range extenders. Dedicated backhaul technology maximizes Wi-Fi speeds by assigning a single, dedicated 5 GHz Wi-Fi band to your router. This frees up the remaining two bands to focus exclusively on your streaming media players, game consoles, and other connected devices, so you'll enjoy full-strength Wi-Fi without slowdown or degradation.
A: It should be placed halfway between your router and your dead Wifi area. In set up it has a spot finder- this helps finding the optimal placement. I run my Wifi off of my family’s next door and it is seamless now. My upstairs had terrible dead zones and now no issues.
A: Yes, FR. However, since you have a Velop system, we suggest using the Velop mesh extender instead to retain the mesh capability. Check this out: https://www.linksys.com/us/p/P-WHW0101P/
Q: What is the difference in internet extenders that cost $45 and $145
A: ability !!!!! you pay for what you get! you alone. 45 is ok. you, spouse, kids, machines, dog, and maybe a neighbor.... MORE POWER!!!!!
A: Hi, outlier. The power requirements of the Linksys RE9000 range extender is 100-240V so it should work in your region.
A: Hi gtl. If your router is located in the upper level of your house, then you can place the Linksys RE9000 in the basement, to extend your router’s signal, for the devices located in that area. Be sure to use the Spot Finder feature to know if range extender is too far or too close from your router.
A: Hi, Monty. You should be able to place the Linksys RE9000 range extender far away from the router yet you might consider checking the spot finder feature of the extender to help ensure the range extender is in the right spot.
Q: Does the booster/extender require line of sight??? We live in an RV, (approx. 35').
A: Hi. It's not necessary, as long as the range extender is not too far or does not have too many physical obstructions that can affect the signal between it and the main router.
Q: Will it work with a cox gateway router
A: This extender is universal, so it can work with any router that can provide internet by wifi or wired by ethernet. At least most Cox gateways do both, so they should work..
