Crap.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to setup. Horrible performance. Placed these in the same location I had Netgear Orbi bought 5 years ago. I wanted to try HomeKit supported router. The nodes have a built in speed test. I can consistently get 900MBps down and 50Mbps up. But WiFi devices are constantly losing connection. Restart the router and connectivity works for a few hours. I have a MacBook and iPhone consistently dropping connections. Online meetings are embarrassing, as my voice sounds muffled and video constantly hanging. Again, all else the same, 5 year Orbis deliver quicker and more stable connections to WiFi devices. Stay away from this product.

Posted .Hi,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Rest assured that this is not the expected behavior of the system once properly setup and is running on the latest firmware. Checking if the wireless security type is set to WPA2 Personal would help. Feel free to email your observations at LinksysCares@linksys.com along with your contact details and the link to this review. We'd love to have our 2nd Level Team investigate this further.

Horrible.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Constant reboots. Needed daily normally or speed quickly falls off and then everything is out. Both wireless and cat 6 connections. Has to be the worst tech product I have ever used. But for that 12-24 hours, the speed is good.

Save Your Money on this Router and Look Elsewhere
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would not recommend this router. When it works it is mediocre. When it doesn’t work brace yourself for a frustrating experience with the Linksys technical support people. Poor coverage and frequently dropped signals.

DONT BUY
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buyer beware.... im currently on the phone waiting for a Level 2 technician to call me back that was suppose to call me on Saturday. I get a call and nobody is on the phone, thinking its a connection issue so they would call back.... NOTHING. I call again, it going to take another day or so for the tech to call me. Here we are Wednesday still nothing. Trying to speak to a manager, no luck yet. These mesh routers keep turning red and throwing all our devices off the network. Even when their blue they disconnect. Im not sure what the problem is.

Factory reset mini-game included
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product was fantastic when we first purchased it. However after about 2 months, we suddenly woke up one day to our internet being down across the entire house. We thought it may have been a comcast/xfinity issue, but it turned out to be the Velop. Ever since then, there would be times where the entire system would go down randomly. The only way to fix this was to factory reset the parent node and set it back up through the desktop dashboard. Finally the satellite in our living room stopped working completely and we decided enough was enough. We ended up returning the Velop and picking up the Orbi system from Netgear. Hopefully that turns out better.

Posted .Hi, KimA,
The Linksys Velop Mesh WiFi 6 System offers a reliable connection after the setup. But, we could have tried to update the firmware and changed the Ethernet cable connecting the parent node to the modem for isolation. ||Posted . I dont believe these things have worked properly since the first few days of me having them. Im jealous because i wish i had a great experience like some others on here but sadly i didn't. Glad i saw them for what they truly were before my 30 day return expired. (Side note: im not even the type of person to take my time out to write a review, so for me to do this truly shows how bad these really are. DONT BUY!!!)

Linksys MX4200 Mesh 3 unit system
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked fine for the first 90 days. As time went on it suffered many drops on WIFI and ethernet lines to the internet. It quit working on 20 August. I attempted several resets and installation attempts to no avail. I replaced it with the previous Linksys EA7500, and all is working well. It is a shame the device is designed to fail so soon after buying. This not the luck I have had with other Linksys products. This system is a real rip-off. I am out the cost of the unit, and I really do not want a replacement.

Be careful purchasing this product!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start out by saying the first 4 months of owning this product was very good. Now, I have a faulty node and have reached out to Linksys for tech support and it has been less than helpful to put it mildly. I have tried to restart and reinstall the node to get it to work properly but no such luck. So, I called tech support and we worked together to reset the node with their help. Still no luck, I called back this morning to request a replacement node because clearly it's defective and the agent on the phone is giving me the runaround. Be careful purchasing this product because if something goes wrong your on your own!

Quick And Easy Setup, Terrific Coverage
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The initial setup of this system was very simple and easy. After downloading the app and plugging the first node into my router, it took less than 10 minutes to complete the setup and less than 5 minutes each to setup the other 2 nodes. After plugging them in, the app did all the work. I was able to extend my coverage all the way to my detached garage, 45 feet away from my house. I have well over a dozen devices which are now getting strong signals whereas before several of them because of their location or number of devices in use were getting weak signals or sometimes dropping the connection. Dropped or weak signals are no longer a problem, no matter how many devices I have in use at one time. This system is outstanding.

Full Featured 3 Node WiFi 6 Mesh Bargain
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using Linksys routers for close to 20 years but along the way I have strayed a few times. One of those times was recently when I used a competitors WiFi 6 mesh router system. I’ve had some issues with that setup so I’m happy to return to Linksys yet again. What keeps me coming back are the high quality and and full featured Linksys products. I have owned a previous Velop wireless AC generation so I was familiar with the product line. I was looking forward to see how the Linksys Velop AX4200 MX12600 Wifi 6 system performed. After all wifi 6 is the latest and fastest wifi standard. In the box you find 3 Velop nodes, 3 power adapters, an ethernet cable, and a setup guide. The guide simply directs you to download the Linksys app to begin setup. Having owned Velop before I was immediately surprised by the the much larger size of the AX4200 nodes compared to my older Velop. I’m already pretty confident that bigger means better. I fired up the Linksys app and jumped into setup. This simply amount to plugging in the first node, connecting it to your modem via Ethernet cable, and letting the app detect the node. You are prompted to setup a Linksys account. Next you need to name your wifi network and select a password. If you have a ton of devices connected to your current network then I would strongly suggest using the identical wifi name and password combination for Velop. This will save you the agony of having to change the password on every device. I have over 40 devices connected to my network so this is a definite time saver. I feel future proofed since the AX4200 can accommodate 120 devices. I had the first node connected within five minutes and then I proceeded to add the additional two modes. I moved to my second floor and selected a location. As you add the nodes the app tests the nodes connectivity and lets you know if your placement is good. I was glad to know that I selected wisely. My home is about 2,000 square feet so the AX4200 is some impressive overkill since it offers wifi mesh coverage up to 8,100 square feet. Impressive. I utilize wireless security cameras on my property so this increased range of wireless coverage will prove beneficial for camera connectivity. Total Velop setup time was about twenty minutes and was a breeze. No one would be intimidated by the process. I’d say my only con to the experience was that the power adapter cable lengths were inconveniently on the short side. Weird. I like that each node has 3 gigabit lan ports and 1 gigabit wan port. You also get a USB 3.0 port on each node. Prior to setting up the Velop MX12600 I took speed tests on my prior wifi 6 mesh router setup. I was now curious to see how Velop compared. On my wireless AC devices I noticed a speed increase of about 20 percent with Velop with speeds in the 540 Mbps range. Speeds on my wireless AX laptop were blazing at 840 Mbps. Linksys packs some serious technology into the MX12600 with its Triband Dynamic Backhaul, MU-MIMO, and OFDMA which combined provide solid connectivity and excellent streaming speeds to more devices at the same time throughout your entire home. The Linksys Velop MX12600 is one powerful mesh network system with state of the art wifi 6 features at a fantastic price point for a 3 node system. You won’t be disappointed.

Linksys Velop AX4200 Wifi System - 3 Pack
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup is very simple and the devices connect very quickly to help get up and running on wifi throughout the house. The speed is fantastic and probably much higher speed than most residential Internet services can provide. Hand-off on moving devices from one AP to the next is very smooth. I didn't see any drop-offs when I moved across our 2600 square foot home, and even have Wi-Fi in the very front and back yard. I like to run a fairly complicated network with specific IP addresses on many of my IoT devices. I would prefer to have the ability to control IP ranges and subnets, which I can't find a way to do on this system. It will take me days to reconfigure all of them because I'm locked into the standard IP range. All-in-all, if you don't have a network of devices that is as complicated as mine, This system is perfect. You can even connect wired devices to the satellite APs. This wireless to wired capability is a huge positive, with Gigabit Ethernet ports on all 3.

Entire home high speed system - strong Wifi
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Linksys is just an all around strong name in the router business so when you think about them for whole home Wifi, its a no brainer that they would know what they are doing. This system is easy to set up and you can put one unit on each floor of your home to spread out Wifi throughout the home, but maintain the high speeds put forth by your router. With Wifi speeds increasing to 100 Mbs or more today, you need a mesh system that can help maintain or even increase home wifi and this system is able to do that. With a corresponding app, this is easy to see your whole home laid out and also devices connected.
