Worth every penny. We were tired of crappy wifi throughout our house. We ask for recommendations at the store and we bought the bigger version of what was recommended. Best decision we ever made. We can get our wifi everywhere in our home consistently and it reaches everywhere on our farm property which was an added bonus when we are out working.

Internet speed and reliability have both improved significantly since I've had this system. Not sure I would have been able to set it up without help so I had the Geek Squad set it up.

Dramatically improved wifi speeds throughout my home. Previously I had been using powerline adapters to get extended coverage in places my wifi wouldn't reach, and I still saw fairly poor speeds, but they were manageable in those spaces. I made the swap to this system and have seen incredible speeds and coverage since. It may seem like a fairly steep price, but it's worth the price of admission to this kind of coverage.

I bought this to replace an older Velop system which seemed to no longer keep up with our internet and network needs in our new house. It was a fairly seamless transition and I am very happy with the upgrade. We no longer have daily issues with buffering and having to reset the system every couple weeks. This new system also handles all the peripheral and media devices we have connected simultaneously without and slow downs.

For those that feeeeeeeeeeeeel I am too much of a schmoozer in my reviews, here's this. This device is not all that great. It needs constant babysitting and rebooting. Even the previous version I had was slightly better. It goes down frequently and HARD. And this is why I ALWAYS purchase a BB protection/replacement plan. If the Linksys Folks would care to proffer their thoughts on my "when it works, it works only fair but when it doesn't work that is pretty much half the time so I am grateful even for when it does work wireless router". I am BB Elite Plus and I gave this device past my 45 day return window to give it a chance. Never again because now I would have to use my Extended Warranty to replace it and I would NOT replace it with the same model. Unless Linksys Folks can explain what they think might be going on with it. It just drops out. Computers, wireless speakers, you name it. My Heos speaker system constantly loses communication and when the router comes back online I have to manually set them ALL UP AGAIN via Cat5 cable. This upsets me no end. Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

      Hi, SSSS,

The behaviour of the system is far from expected and we'd like to have our Escalation Engineers have it checked for diagnosis. Just send an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com along with your contact details and the link to this review for our easy reference. We'll wait for your updates and hopefully sort things for you.

Got this mesh setup with nodes on every floor. It helps us connect nearly 40 devices in our smart home without issues. The nodes are big but look nice — the LED is hardly noticeable unless your standing over a node. The firmware update for HomeKit integration was pushed out. My biggest ask: let us manage which devices get access to the 2.4 band. The app doesn’t even acknowledged it.

Easy set up. The product is as advertised. Wifi speeds loses about 50% on average as I have gig speed internet but will typically get around 500 mbps around most areas.

I purchased this set a few weeks ago. Ordered online at BestBuy with drive up delivery which was very fast by the way. Setup was very easy and I installed one on each floor. Our prior setup was in the basement. Anyway it has been working very well. Now we get very strong signals throughout the house. On my WiFi6 laptop I get up to 376Mb downloads out of our 400Mb service. Fast that I ever got before. So far so good.

The Velop does help to extend the wifi range but still not as strong signal I was hoping. Trying to reach the Ring attach to the garage is still problematic.

Easy setup with the app. I can see what is connected to my network. I can control all devices and set priorities for each one. I can now keep my kids off of the network when they should be doing schoolwork, chores, or sleeping. I have also eliminated a number of issues we’re having with our old traditional wireless network. The wifi signal is now throughout the whole house and outside.

Beware if you use a lot of Apple devices!

So I have a 2 story house covering about ~3500sqft and use 3 nodes to start, down to 2 and eventually just one node just to get some of my main devices like iPads and iPhones working correctly. The router works well in general for android and windows but for apple devices I did run into many issues where if my phone/ipad switched from one node to another then I would have troubles connecting. I even tried backhauling the connection using ethernet to each node which worked wonders again for non-apple devices but no luck with apple. Wifi signal always showed up strong across the whole house but iOS consistently struggled to connect at all. It seem this issue is well know on various forums but if you're big on apple devices beware! - Better off with an eero or deco.

      Hi, TapiwaM.

We appreciate the visibility. The wireless devices decide which node to connect to, and the Mesh system has no control over that. This is unusual because the problem is limited to iOS devices. Please ensure that the system is running the most recent firmware, use the channel finder, and temporarily disable the HomeKit feature (if it is enabled). Send your observations to LinksysCares@linksys.com, along with a link to your review, for our consideration. Our Second Level Team would be delighted to hear from you.
