She has a a verizon router/modem and we were told it would work fine with it, and all we need to do is plug it in and set it up with the phone app. I wasn't able to get it set up for her right away and once we figured out we needed to purchase more to get it working, it was too late to return. Now I either need to purchase more equipment or have a $100 piece of plastic sit around mocking us.

The Linksys Velop Mesh Wi-Fi Extender (WHW0101P) should extend your existing Velop network. We could have tried to use the channel finder on your Linksys app to optimize the nodes and, make sure that the firmware is updated.

The extender had line of site with the main node. No interference. Kept disconnecting from the system. When It was connected it worked great, but not useful if its going to drop out. I returned the item.

Instructions are not simple and the install is stupid. Unplug it to find the required password and numbers...Netgear was waaaay easier.
