We totally hear you as the Velop WHW0101 should have a stable connection once set up properly. Let’s make sure that the node is getting a stable connection from the main Network/modem. Make sure as well that it’s running on the latest firmware version. Try to reboot both main modem along with the Velop node for isolation. The Linksys Velop Mesh WiFi Extender should be easy to integrate with your existing Velop network, and extend the range up to 1,500 sq. ft. You can try to use the channel finder to optimize your Velop nodes.

On the advice of the first techie, I even took it back and exchanged it for another, but this one also is not linking up. It might be a flaw in the router itself. If I don't hear back from Linksys about a solution, I'm going to bring it back and get a refund.

I tried this in several places in my house and although it would connect it I never got it to actually extend anything. Yellow was the best it ever did. I will be returning this.

I have never had to call help a help desk about a router before. But I have 5 calls in the last 12 months, each last 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. And still router isn't operating properly

There are different factors that can affect that can affect the stability of your internet connect such as metal objects, electrical equipment, etc. Placing the range extender in a high location can overcome the interference on your network. Make sure to place the Linksys WHW0101P between the area where it can detect at least 50% of your router's Wi-Fi and the area that doesn't have Wi-Fi.
