Seamless Intregration into my Velop AC6600 Network
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My take is going to be short but sweet, since I already have a Velop AC6600 system with 3 of the larger Tri-Band nodes and the Velop App installed and configured for my home network. This Velop system as mentioned is designed to either handle Performance internet packages and larger homes or extend existing Velop networks like mine. The new component in this system is the wall plug node that is much smaller form factor and doesn't require a large (but not ugly) wall wart. It is thin and pleasant looking, and doesn't have oddball antennas like those from other companies, and it also benefits from the mesh and multi-band benefits of Velop instead of the less reliable and non-mesh qualities of your standard Wi-Fi Extenders. Interestingly, the wall nodes appear to have less bandwidth which is where the 1300Mbps (AC) stated bandwidth comes in, since these wall nodes don't get the full 2200Mbps that the full tri-band tower nodes get. The only downside I can really see is that this kit is not that far off in terms of price compared to the full Tri-Band 3 pack AC6600 system that I already own, which is frequently on sale for roughly the same price. Overall, setup was easy, but it does take a few minutes to add each new node. I also set the entire Velop system to Bridge mode since I use my Verizon Gateway router still for 5GHz performance. This allows seamless network bridging to anything connected to my Verizon router and switch.

Excellent wireless network coverage
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the original velop white Triband wireless system. It has worked great but this new system helps in area’s my current cannot. I like how the sattelites can plug in the wall helping you find the perfect level of coverage vs my old system that was 3 towers that had to sit on something. The only drawback is it splits the signal wirelessly vs my original I was able to hardwire thruought the home for more stable coverage. I would buy this again since it is easier to adapt as needed.

Solves the WiFi for just about every house type
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plain and simple, if you are not using a MESH style WiFi system (Which this is), you are simply not getting everything you can out of your expensive internet connection. For the vast majority of homes, your WiFi issues are not do the connection you pay for, but because of the connection from your device TOO that connection. This is the next generation version of this technology for Linksys, and couldn't be easier to use. It takes about 5-10 minutes to setup the primary unit, this is the one that connects to your broadband provider. Once that is setup, the rest are plug in and hit a button on the app... and Linksys's software takes care of the rest. The most difficult part of the entire process, is possibly going back to setup all your devices again. You would only need to do that if you change your WiFi network name, and password. So some people won't even need to do that. The way this works, is that the base unit talks to the smaller units around your house (and you can add more to improve coverage). Using a different radio frequency, it can do that connection quickly and keep the speeds up. So as you walk through your home, your modern devices change what WiFi host it is talking to you... so you could get "5 bars" through out your house, without having to have a massively huge device in the middle of your house. It also allows MORE devices to connect at once... even if you are streaming all over the house, these WiFi adapters WON'T be your bottle neck, and may even help you more then anything else. So if you have a house bigger then 1500sqft, this is a GREAT option... especially for those with multiple floors. Another great option is to add on even more nodes, for even more coverage.

Nice set up - nice mesh router
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed in older single story home with brick walls which has internet installed in corner room. Must use app to install and seems to use bluetooth to help ease setup. App crashed once (Android Pie) but recovered well and was given feedback in app and via colored led on remote units. All three were functioning quickly and signal is strong across house (5 and 2.4 without separate SSID)!

Simple, sleek and dependable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system replaced another mesh system that I was using. Upon installation, the app was very intuitive and very simple. was up and running in no time. So far, speed tests have been great, and I have not had a single drop in signal, which I experienced several times with my last system. Connecting extra notes was also a simple process. And now I have a steady even signal throughout my entire home, including the bathroom which was always a difficult spot. I like that the primary node has an extra hard ethernet port that can be used. That is missing in many of the newer mesh systems. I have yet to test out the tribe and feature, but most of my devices automatically use specific bands. On that note, I like that you can set up Priority devices with little effort. All in all, this is a great system and one of the better mesh systems I have ever used. The only tip I would like to give that should have been mentioned in the set-up, on each node there is a username and password for setup. Make sure you take note of that before you place your system in its spot. You will need this information.

Quirky
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the 3 node mesh system and bought this new pack to get added coverage (big house) Setup was easier than before and I have 5 bars everywhere, but one of the new plug in nodes is constantly off line (amber light). I used the app to reconnect to no avail. It simply took unplugging for 15 seconds and re plugging in. This has gone on for 3 days straight. Next time will require a call to Linksys

Triple Mesh Action!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another WOW product from Linksys, who continues to blow me away with their OUTSTANDING internet enhancement tools! The Velop AC Tri-Band Mesh was easy to incorporate with the current Velop system that I rely on heavily for daily internet coverage. This new system is truly plug and play and you’re up in running in no time at all. The 1 node that I did employ was quickly discovered in a matter of minutes and it meshes well with my current system. As I always do, I ran an internet speed test and the results were great both uploading and downloading. As such, this unit is definitely a keeper because of its great enhancements and robust performance! Well-done Linksys and keep the AWESOME works!

New form factor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a fan of the Velop Mesh system. We had the original with a hub and two access points. Those could be placed anywhere and had a power cable to plug into a source. They are sitting on bookshelves and mantles in various spots providing a great wifi experience throughout the house. The new system comes with one hub that is identical to the last version, but the AP's have the plug builtin--meaning the unit affixes to wherever the power outlet is. It looks nice and inobtrusive, but it is not the most convenient configuration. Signal is super strong, but there is no option to really move the AP to a better location unless you move it another affixed plug. Our receptacles are behind and under furniture--not very AP friendly. I would stick to the old form factor for flexbility, but if you have a couple out in the open wall outlets free, this system will give you maximum throughput all over (and outside) your home.

Another great mesh WiFi system by Linksys
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Velop mesh WiFi system. The first one I purchased was the best WiFi system I have ever used, so I am extremely confident that this system will provide the same reliability. The current Velop WiFi system I am testing came with one Tri-band router and two extenders. Just like the original Velop system it was super simple to set up, it has the same great controller app for your phone and it provided excellent WiFi coverage. If its time to upgrade your WiFi you will not be disappointed.
