Love the phone. Learning to use functions I have not used before. My only reason for not giving the phone of five star is because of the location of the five star on the phone. It is easy to hit the star accidentally, although easy to cancel the call immediately. I would definitely recommend this phone, especially to users not adept at computers and other like kind devices.

Since I need a phone for dummies, even this one is too sophisticated for me. But it really is simple. I just wish the texting pad was larger and it had more ring choices.

Hard to stop the alarm. One must touch the "stop" button exactly as they want it done.

It is working well for its 80+year old owner. I found the setup instructions to be lacking, but the support people are great.

The size of the print should be able to be made larger- purchased for my mom & it’s too small even at the largest choice for font size.

I bought this phone for my wife because it looked so user friendly and she found this to be true. The phone has plenty of storage (32 Gigs) and she enjoys the verbal text and email. I had a little problem setting up the Pop 3 email but with help of the agents atBest Buy and the Lively online help we"got-er done"

Great phone but not right for my senior Father

First I will say it is a very nice smart phone with just the basic programs like email, phone, internet, text. And a great price for both the phone and the service (through Lively). However, my Dad is 89 yrs old and has Parkinson's and Dementia and I thought this phone would be just right for him. It is probably really good for many seniors but Dad shakes so bad he either cannot hit the right button or can't turn it on. The start button on the side is challenging for him to press hard enough, it needs an auto start like when you pick it up and it does not have that feature. Also he hit the urgent response button accidentally so many times that I discontinued that part of the service, which is disappointing because that was a feature I thought would be good to have. I will keep the phone because it is a great smart phone but I have a sense it is not going to serve my Dad in his present state.

Bought this for my aunt and she seems to love it. Set up was relatively easy but clear information on the plans available was a challenge to find before purchase. Did not like that there was no unlimited data option.

Purchased for elderly grandmother. It was not as user friendly for her as we hoped. To simply make a phone call you had to go through prompts - call, contact, call vs text - when you already pushed on the call button. Didn’t work out. Should have gone with a flip phone.

Bought this for my husband who couldn’t get the hang of an iPhone. Fewer icons make it less confusing to use. Not very intuitive, so there’s still a learning curve.

I am having trouble learning this phone. I do not have anyone that can help me, so I just trial and error and hope for the best. I always have cold fingers so I cant always move the screen. And the print is really small and I have hard time reading it.

    Serious Complaint

Two incidents have been traumatic for me centered around this Lively phone so I am not appreciating the hype claimed as being a device for senior's safety. My Lyft driver on the morning of 10/19/22 frightened me and stressed me out by making 4 different changes to the GPS, not following my instructions to take the straight route to my destination; bypassing Maple Ave that is a straight 5 miles from Pennsauken to Moorestown but rather ignored me and drove through unfamiliar neighborhoods, through back streets and an industrial park that made no sense whatsoever and was absolutely unnecessary. I told him I was close to pressing my emergency button or calling the police and he said call whomever you like, I don't care, call them in a disturbing and rude manner. I was so upset that I had to wait until the next morning on 10/20/22 to report this incident to the Lively personal operator named Ruth who promised to give my complaint to her manager. The manager never called me and I wanted to put my complaint in writing but the online site for Lyft had no record of that Lyft driver to receive my complaint and there was no record of this driver on my phone at the time so I went to the BestBuy online site to give my complaint to the Chat rep and was told that my complaint should be handled with Lively. When I was asked if I had any suggestions to improve the Lively App at the time I was filling in my phone information, it was the opportune time to complain about the 2 incidents I experienced. Now I am rating the Lively phone again. This is how I feel about this phone. On the morning of 10/27/22 my iPhone died, went black on the screen again and I went for my backup Lively phone (the reason I purchased it because the iPhone failed me before, leaving me vulnerable, stranded and unsafe away from home), now the Lively phone needed charging so I plugged it in but I was not able to use it the entire time it was charging (strange), I should have been able to use it at 53% charged when I tried the second time but to no avail. This was the second incident and quite ironic that my backup phone would not be available at the exact time that my iPhone failed me again. As a senior citizen, these phone incidents have me feeling unsafe and highly probable to being stressed and in duress with two unreliable phones. Hopefully, this rating will be recorded and useful if anything happens to me in the future. It appears to me to be very strange that an android phone and an iPhone would both be unavailable to me simultaneously. My iPhone is being repaired today 10/29/22 for the sudden blackouts.
