    It is a simple phone to use, but difficult setting up. Customer service wasn't much help with adding contacts. Advertised for $19 per month, with taxes etc., is $32.

    Lively Jitterbug Smart 3 Smartphone for Seniors

    Today's Smartphone is a portable computer offering many interesting applications. My wife and I have Smartphones but other than using the phone and taking pictures we didn't know how to use the phones. The Jitterbug Phone is geared to people who are not digitally tech savvy so it makes using the phone much easier for us. I particularly like the voice guide to using the phone.

    I have moved from a long time flip top cell phone user to this smart phone for seniors and so far the transition has been good. I appreciate the ability to transfer speech to text for messages and email.

    Purchased to replace landline phone. Got unlimited call and text and cheaper than my landline which had no texting or internet useage. Not an electronics wizard but was able to activate and set up by myself. Easy to use, thinking of getting " hubby"one too! Camera works ok too!

    I needed a phone while out alone to replace our hands free calling program thru GM onstar that was terminated 12/31. I have a tablet, landline and desktop. So, this Jitterbug provides all I need to trave!. It was a simple set up, has easy to use functions and I added a small amount of data. So much better than hubbys iphone! Plan was reasonable too.

    due to a vision loss and not really tech savvy on phones because I only use it for emergency or text messages from my doctor, had read about this phone in AARP. It is easy to easy, actually comes with a booklet so that you do not need to go online, has great customer service.

    I am 83 yrs. old. I wanted an easy to operate and understand phone. So far, I really love the Lively Smart 3 phone for seniors. It has everything I need and especially the manual that comes with it. It is easy to understand and even shows pictures and instructions for every item on the phone. Jackie Dinley

    Inaccurate GPS when using Lively Link Service

    The new Lively Smart phone 3 has a very weak gps. Previously my very active 91 year old father had the Great Call Smart 2 along with the paid Lively safety link service so that we could track wherever he decided to drive to everyday in case he needed our assistance. Every since we bought him the new Lively Smart 3 however, the tracking doesn't work correctly at least 70% of the time. Today for instance it has currently been 15 hours since it last updated his location although he drove to the next town to a doctor's appointment and back to his town to the local restaurant. It is supposed to update his location every 20 minutes but fails consistently. They have given one excuse after another for this issue and tried multiple updates, etc trying to get two different Smart 3's to track without success. Even when he goes to the largest city in the state though where there are tons of towers it only tracks him 20 or 30% of the time he is there no matter how many times we refresh it to check on him. Therefore, if you are buying this phone and paying for the Lively Link safety service to protect your elderly loved ones you will be very disappointed that it is so inaccurate.
