Big meh. Feels more toy-ish than other Logitech products. Ive even modified it to be more realistic and it still feels underwhelming. Tend to use paddles instead. Not too expensive so worth the price I guess.

I was disappointed to see this was a separate purchase where the previous model included the shifter. I picked this up for free with the g29 purchase so kind of included but had to wait for a sale.

This will be the third one I've bought an will be the last. They stop working within a month or two with little use. When asking the store for help they say call the company the company says the store will replace it and they don't. It goes back and fourth. Frustrating. I can't seem to find any other one though, So one last go with this non sense. Only for my child! We have the wheel an the pedals no issues with those, wish this was built as well as those.

Hello RLRS! Sorry to hear you're having issue with your Driving Force Shifter. I am not sure what the problem is exactly, but as far as replacements go, you normally have up to 15 days for any returns at a Best Buy store (this had been extended to January 16th for purchases made over the Holidays), or up to 30 days for Elite members, and up to 45 days for Elite Plus members. All Best Buy Return & Exchange details can be found here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/help-topics/return-exchange-policy/pcmcat260800050014.c?id=pcmcat260800050014. If you're past the Best Buy Return timeframe, Logitech has got you covered for up to 2 years on the Driving Force Shifter. With a solid steel gear shaft, the Driving Force Shifter is constructed of quality materials for precision racing and long-lasting reliability, so it should normally last longer than what you've experienced. - Mathieu from Logitech

    Logitech shifty shifter

I purchased this shifter along with the g920 wheel & peddles to try out racing sims. However, I was very quickly dissatisfied with the performance and overall aesthetic of this product. The term "accessory" seems so fitting because it is just that...a virtually pointless add-on to an already sufficient system. I mean...let's be real. Manual transmission & stick shift is unmistakably the worst thing you can do to a car today, and its longevity is long past due. The SOLE reason why we still desire it is PURELY for aesthetic...nothing more, nothing less. So, in conclusion, since this shifter is aesthetically void and fails to induce any form of joy, it is not worth it.

I bought this alongside the Logitech G920, and this was by-far the better of the two purchases. It had a great faux leather feel to the handle and the mounts for it were very strong. I did have issue; however, with the plastic-y clunkiness of the shifter's internals. Shifting felt rather weak, the throw was so short you didn't know what gear you were in, and it made an annoying, cheap sounding noise when doing so. I liked it despite those minor issues and just wish that it was part of a better line of wheels.

    Thinking of returning it

First off, it works. I'm using this with the official G920 racing wheel, and both with and without VR for several racing games (Forza 7, Asetto Corsa, Project Cars 2, Dirt Rally). Not a difficult setup, and it works fine, but the shifting action is so unsatisfying that it pulls me out of the experience I've tried hard to make for myself. I think the money would be better spent on a higher end shifter after some saving.

At first I was very happy with the shifter, but after using it for an hour it felt flimsy and did not work well. It would get jammed and felt stuck sometimes. Maybe I got a defective unit or something, but everything felt like plastic including the gears inside.
