Nice addition to G29
I bought this shifter to go along with my G29 race wheel and it doesn't disappoint. This is the first shifter I've ever owned so I can't really compare it to anything else, but from my time with it I'd have to say it does exactly what it's suppose to do. I use it mainly on my ps4 with games like driveclub and project cars. Nice effortless shifting action although the push down reverse takes some getting use to(but how often do you use reverse in driving games). I would definitely recommend looking into mounting it rather than clamping. The clamps are strong, but after buying the wheel stand pro to go along with my setup there is no way I could go back to clamping it down. The wheel stand allows you to use the screw holes on the bottom of the shifter and wheel to screw it down and it doesn't move an inch. The shifter seems very sturdy and well built. I only hope more games come out soon that use it. The only complaints that I would have with this shifter is that it should have came packaged with the G29 for the hefty price tag it carries(399.99). Forking out another 50 bucks on top of that for the shifter is kind of crazy considering that the G27 came with it. Also I wish it had a sequential shift option like the G25 had. It's like your paying more for less. With those small gripes aside let's not forget that this is a review for the shifter alone, and with that being said it's definitely more enjoyable flying through the gears with this baby so i'd have to recommend it for the avid race fan.

Definite Top 5 Aftermarket Shifter, for only 50$?
Paired with the Logitech Racing Wheel (G920), it makes an exceptional beginner racing simulator setup. Quite literally a Plug and Play device. Truly, I don't know of any other aftermarket shifter that delivers similar if not better quality, for more or less a similar price. It works my PC well, and in games such as Forza 5, Assetto Corsa, and the Need for Speed series.

Budget Racing Sim
Overall the logitech racing sim gear shift works great. If youre looking for realism at a budget price, then this shifter is for you. Started my racing sim set up with a next level cockpit, logitechs g920 racing wheel, and of course the logitech gear shift. Great little set up for a fraction of the cost for one of those fancey racing sims. Only downside to the logitech gear shift is that it seems to be only conpatible with logitech gear. I mean it makes sense i suppose but it would be nice to have a universal adapter for different racing rigs. I can no longer use my Logitech gearshift becuase i have sense upgraded my set up to a Moza R3 racing wheel which doesnt work with the logitech shifter. Maybe one day if im willing to dish out a grand then maybe ill think about a direct drive wheel and base by logitech. For now ill just stick with my Moza. All that being said the Logitech Racing Simulator GearShift is a great piece of equipment for a beginner budget build.
