    Super Comfortable & Great Sound!

I absolutely love these headphones! The sound is super clear and the bass hits just right, especially for gaming and watching movies. The mic picks up my voice really well without background noise, so my friends can hear me perfectly on calls. They’re lightweight and the ear cushions are really soft, so I can wear them for hours without my ears hurting. The design looks even better in person and feels like good quality for the price. Definitely worth it and I would recommend these to anybody!

Solid gaming headset, excellent audio quality

Turtle beach is known for the headsets, and the Atlas 200 is a budget wired offering from them. Sporting a grey/white design with emboldened Playstation logos, this headset keeps no secret its alignment to gaming. What is surprising is that it does a lot more, and fairly well. Opening the box reveals fairly simple packaging. The headphones sit in a cardboard tray packaged in plastic. Removing them you’ll find the wired cable is about a meter in length. The cable terminates in a 3.5mm CTIA headphone jack, which despite being the Playstation controller’s primary remote audio feels decidedly retro in 2025. The headset itself has decent initial build quality. Taking a closer look at construction, the headband is super flexible and tough. This is a good thing in a headset, as I’ve had numerous headsets break. The underlying construction appears to be steel sheathed in plastic. The headset, in the white variant, has a blue elastic band that’s adjustable. At first blush it simply looks like a flourish of color, but it’s actually adjustable. The plastics in use seem strong, and there is absolutely no creaking noises. The Turtle Beach logo is embossed on each ear and the overall look is quite clean. The headset itself is quite comfortable to wear. The ear cushions are very soft and comfortable foam. They do appear easily replaceable. They’re covered in a soft microfiber material which should wear fairly well. There is an analogue volume control on the left ear cup, which is a nice touch. The microphone is on the same ear cup, and has a decent action. There are 3 positions the microphone can be in, 2 of which are muted. The fully extended active, flip up slightly to mute, and stowed away for primary headphone usage. Honestly in my PS5 usage, I simply plug the headphone into the 3.5mm jack on the controller and go. I don’t do a lot of chatting with the microphone during my gaming. I found the sound details were quite nice. I was able to pick up subtle details in the sound design of several games that I missed using just TV speakers. The usage of a CTIA jack means this headset works flawlessly with many other devices than the PS5. This includes my Macbook Pro, where I did give the microphone a good workout. I found that the audio from the mic was clear and loud. I wouldn’t put this up against a dedicated microphone, and the little bitty amount of foam only somewhat controls pop, but the microphone is better than most in this price range. Another thing that was obvious from hooking up to my laptop: The audio quality is quite nice for the price. Unlike many headphones, this headset isn’t pushing bass too far. The lack of a heavy V curve means you get a pretty natural sound. The bass extension is quite good, without being overwhelming. The mids and highs are well balanced for a headset like this, so you’ll find it quite nice for just normal audio listening. That’s saying a lot as my opinion on many cans (over the ear headphones) are pretty rough. These headphones impressed me. Sound isolation is fairly solid given the foam ear pads. I was very immersed using these, and my kids had to really get my attention when I was playing. What a great feature. Overall I’ve been quite happy with the Turtle Beach headphones. These are a great set that goes beyond the PS5 as far as usage. What was surprising to me was the raw audio quality of these drivers and the overall sound quality. While primarily a noise isolating gaming headset, it is capable of offering really solid music performance as well. The microphone is more than adequate for chatting, and the style is top notch. Highly recommended.

Just a simple no headache gaming headset

This is a perfect example of a no-frills headset. Easy in, easy out. Less worries. I know everyone is on a wireless headset, and though I charge my dual shock controllers anyway, the headset is another thing to worry about. Plus sometimes, wireless ones have the USB dongles that take space on my console USB slots—so this headset is one of those that I can easily rely on night in and night out. When I got these headphones, I thought I would be using it more for a second player, or when my fiancee and I would have to quietly watch action movies when the baby is asleep (we each have a controller profile on with headphones when we watch through the console as a quiet solution to movie nights). But I found myself actually using them too, more often than I thought I would, over my wireless ones. I simply plug this into a dual shock, and game all night without any worries of bluetooth / radio interference, or moreso, the dreaded low batt situation. The headphones have a good design. The color scheme is very PS5, especially with the logo on the side. It is not light, but it has the right amount of weight for me to have it slip comfortably on my head, matched with the top snug mesh fabric that looks like some scandinavian car design element. I am not a fan of the texture of the ear cushion—when I touch them; but it is perfectly fine when they are on my ears. The cushion does not press too much, allowing comfort for glasses use, so I also say, no headache—the headphones do not give me actual physical headaches. Plus the cushion is breathable enough for me to not sweat on hot-day intense gameplays. The build quality is durable but that is expected for Turtle Beach. The plastic texture is sturdy and the exterior feel is of decent quality. The connectivity performance is straightforward. You cannot go wrong with wired ones. I do have to be mindful of it at times when I jerk out of frustration for being owned, as the wire sometimes do get caught in my watch. Other than that, wired performance will always be reliable. The sound is pretty good. The sound is wider than the cups—meaning, I know where the cups are, but I know the sound the headphones emit, goes beyond the cushion. The sound quality is great as well, with no equalizer tuning needed. Lows to highs are balanced and the volume capacity is pretty high-- I can easily slide the volume rocker up and the sound can be loud without breaking. The microphone is pretty straightforward too. Flip up and backdown, it doesn't fall on headbobs, and I do not seem to encounter any issues of others not understanding my accent. So far so good. I like it. Again, I thought it will be a good back-up to my wireless ones, but it seems like I use it more than my wireless ones. Good job Turtle Beach. It is priced just right. I just gave the good word to my crew.

    Pleasantly surprised!

I was quite pleased with this headset I know we're at an age where alot of us prefer the wireless. But I didn't want the hassle of changing devices and have to worry about pairing and lost connections etc. I'm currently using this while in bed on my hand helds, and I need a solid connection so I don't wake the wife and kids :) a physical connection ensures I won't mess that up. Unboxing, nothing to talk about, pretty standard, safely packed Build, I really like the simplicity of the build. There's a volume button and that's it. The mic auto mutes when you lift it. The quality of the material used feels plastic but not cheap plastic. The strap feels well/snug to adjust. Comfort, I was really surprised at the comfort of this head set. I took a picture to show the fabric up close, the ear cups feels like marshmallows on my ears. I wonder how sweat will hold up in the long run, but I'm very happy I can play for 2 hours without even noticing the thing on my head. Very comfortable. Microphone is at a perfect distance not to be too distracting. It's a lift, not a projected microphone, which I'm fine with, but the pictures may be deceiving. Function, I really like the dampener on the microphone is this small little guy attached, don't have to use a giant boom cotton, makes me sound a little less frictional in game chat. Rarely chat in game, but nice to have. The sound is clean crisp and gentle boom, out of the box. I know there's a software to adjust this, I didn't have any problems with it, I like the profile as is, so I just kept it as original. Finally I can confirm it works well with the PS controllers, (PS4, or PS5), and any 3.5mm jacks. I used it on my Xbox Ally X in the photo, works flawless, loved it, no complaints. Highly Recommend!
