I like it more than using 360 controller

I can play older games as well as current games without issue due to the compatibity feature. Example when playing GTA San Andreas with the 360 controller I had to run a special application in the background to make it work. A client not well known or easily configured. With the F310 I just flick the switch, done. It has a better design and fits better in my hands. Nice job Logitech!

This was the perfect gamepad when I upgraded my PC. Smooth controls, dual triggers, dual sticks and really good software. Great for racing & sports games and for FPS games. Inexpensive and comfortable so it;s a good gamepad for those getting started

    A cheaper alternative to a 360 controller

    Posted .

The Logitech F310 is a fairly decent controller. Its high points are the triggers that, when in racing games, can precisely control steering and throttle. The design fits in your hand quite well, and is comfortable for prolonged use. However, this device does have some drawbacks. The D-Pad feels cheaply made, as it wobbles slightly when your thumb rests on it. The controller is very light, which to some may be an advantage, but I prefer heavier controllers like that of the 360's weight. And the biggest drawback is the software. When loading the profiler, the software will hang when it is "Building game profiles" And in order to remap keys (For instance, you want a button to replicate a key that cannot be altered in the games settings), you have to switch to DirectInput mode, which will make the triggers act as a button, rather than having variable control. Overall, this controller isn't bad if you are budgeted.

    It's Basic, It Works

I expected a basic controller and that's just what I got. The buttons are kinda spongy, but you get what you pay for. Works well with both Windows and Debian 8.

the controler is great for what i use it for online fighting games/ racing games it fits my hands well i do love these controller but iv gone through about 5 or so and now im ordering another one they last about 3 months then start to fall apart if u can keep your controller from not falling on the ground and not wrapping the wire around the controller when not in use then its fine the wiring falls out to easly after sometime and if they do drop the wrong way u may lose some bounce in ur button pop ups but other then that its plug and play good for the price range i guess

Very nice game controller for us Mac users

Mac users don't have a lot of game controller options, since traditionally Macs have not had a lot of gaming options. As Apple and other companies have been cranking out games lately, however, a growing need is there... and this controller mostly fits the bill. Make sure you switch the mode-switch on the bottom from "X" to "D" or it will not work with the Mac... but after that it is pretty smooth sailing with everything I have tried.

    Great Entry Level Controller

This is a good, fully functional wired controller, from the trusted guys at Logitech. Most modern games will set this up as an XBOX360 controller, which works perfectly, as the buttons are laid out, and colored the same. The sticks are in the more traditional PlayStation design however, not the offset design of XBOX. There is no rumble/feedback feature, which at first bothered me, but in reality, its absence sort of helps with control. Another review mentions super sensitive response with the sticks. I haven't really noticed to where it is any different than an XBOX controller, however I would offer this: I've noticed that when it is first connected to Windows (I'm using 8), if you don't rotate the sticks fully around (as in calibrating them?) then once you're in-game, there's practically no dead zone, and the slightest touch sends you all over the place. You don't have to go to an actual calibration screen or anything, however, if you rotate the sticks fully after you plug it in, or restart Windows, everything is just fine. I wouldn't say that this is the build quality of a true XBOX controller, it is very lightweight, and feels very hollow. I feel as though if you get mad, and launch it at a wall, or floor, it will very likely shatter into several useless pieces. That said, it being half the price of an XBOX controller, and performing the same task, without the rumble, or the wireless input lag; it is a very good value, and worth the purchase.

I bought 3 of these, to replace Wired Logitech F310 I bought back 2018! Cause my LB button broke, playing PC games on "STEAM". Why wired. The convenience of not charging. All my PC gaming items, Headsets, Gaming controller, mouse, and keybrd r wired.

I bought this controller yesterday and works very well. Been using it for 7 hrs staright and no disconnection which is way better than their previous product the dual action gamepad. It shape like a PS2 but the buttons are labled like Xbox 360 controller as well the comp reads it as xbox 360 controller. install takes about 3 minutes.

All-in-all, this is a great gaming pad. In all honesty, i love it. Playing emulators for Gamecube(Dolphin), Nintendo DS(DeSmuMe), PS2(Psx2), Nintendo 64(Project64). I just baught another today just for 2 player mode. It was easy to set up as well. Just connect it, and wait for windows to install, then you're ready to go. No problems what so ever.

You need to install an external program to use.

Okay, so, i actually didn't buy this from best buy, but i had a controller EXTREMELY similar to this, only difference was it was gray/dark dark blue, BUT. This is to people who have it at 1-2 stars because it doesn't work on your games --For alot of games on PC, they don't automatically detect that you have a controller plugged in, you need to download a program (Xpadder, it used to be free, isn't anymore, there are many websites that have free, working, virus-free versions of it), that lets you plug your controller in, and it lets you map keyboard controls and mouse controls (WASD, Arrow keys, numpad, mouse up and down, etc.,) to that controller, and it works for any controller that uses a USB port that you plug into a computer. And no, i am not sponsored by the makers of the program, i'm not even trying to advertise it, I'm just trying to help out people who are saying it doesnt work on games, and that the game doesnt recognize a controller. You're welcome.

Good controller but requires some setup

I'm very happy with the functionality of this controller, my only problem was that I had to set up the controls. For some reason the up arrow was setup as aim and then the down as shooting, craziness! It took about 10 minutes to set up everything the way it should be, but after doing so it is just like playing on a console! I recommend this controller, but just know you are going to have to work with it a little bit.

Just A Cheap Gamepad, And I'm Okay

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

So I bought a PC controller because I wanted to play Castle Crashers without the confusion of what buttons is what. The game recommended a controller mainly because the buttons it tells you are on controllers, not keyboards. So I bought this cheap controller and it might not be XBox but it gets the job done. Sadly if you're like me and have few games that work best with a controller, you might ask yourself how to get $25 worth out of it? Your answer may have to be playing with Emulators, sorry first party companies. But if you have plenty of games that best work best on controller then I say to check this out. The only complaint I have which isn't completely to the controller itself, but rather to another game on why I bought it in the first place. If you're like me and expecting this game to work on games on Steam that were originally on PS2, you may be disappointed, the gamepad does not suit well with them. I've tried it with GTA San Andreas for PC, and it just makes you question on why it feels more difficult than it should be. Other than that, it's a decent gamepad, and it may not work for older PS2 port Steam games, it does work well with all other games.

This is a very good device for those who are not hardcore gamers and don't want to spend whole lot of money buying xbox or other controllers. It is cheap, it is compact and it is from logitech which all the reason to buy this product. I bought two of these and pretty happy with my purchase.

The Logitech F310 Gaming Pad is a popular choice for gamers on a budget, and it's great that you've had a positive experience with it so far! It's certainly an affordable option compared to some high-end controllers, and the fact that the sticking issue resolved itself quickly is a plus.

This game controller is truly plug and play on Windows 8, just connect and you're ready to go. I can't speak to durability because I haven't had it long enough, but it feels fairly tough. If you're looking for a wired game controller for your PC, this one seems to be the best deal for the money.

I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Microsoft Xbox 360 or One controller for my computer and Rocket League and saw this. It is very similar to a PS3 controller IMO and that isn't a bad thing at all! Comfortable and all buttons are easy to reach while playing. And the price.... Can't beat that at all. Just feels a tad cheap, but again, cant beat price!
